I'll be curious to see how the sensors hold up with some off road use and how long the sensor batteries last.

Wishyouwerehere_rtw We will keep you guys posted! As soon as we have more info on their performance we will share it. I believe they might loose accuracy with time too as dust will get in them... But only time will tell her Let's wait and see!

I just got this now from the mail and just installed it... pretty straight forward installation. Your video helped me a lot. Thanks. Will also update how long this will last. I’m in Asia and weather here is a bit unforgiving. 😊

Always Great to see one of your Videos. The big advantage of a TPMS, is catching a deflating tire before you destroy it. Especially those towing a boat or caravan. Everyone I know that has these, still gets the odd flat Tyre, but none of them have destroyed a Tyre from driving on it whilst flat for a long duration. So from that point of view, $50-$140 can save destroying a $300 BF Goodridge!
@OverlandWay6 жыл бұрын
Great point, Hugh! You could also get an indication of any brake or bearing problems based on tire temperature. It's a pretty good deal for what it costs that's for sure. Let's just hope it lasts lol

Hi mate, it all runs fine still. The only negative is that we had one of the sensors taken in Brazil and we couldn't find a replacement. So ended up with 3 sensors working :(

Aí simmmmmm !!!!! Adoro a forma que vocês demonstram os equipamentos!!!! E as edições!!!! Parabenssssss!!!!

Nice review, I was looking at these on Lazada Thailand and wanted a real life review. It's quite sunny here in Thailand. Will solar power keep the unit charged all the time or will the USB cable be required? How about accuracy? Does the reading match what is actually in the tyre? Any air leaks from the sensors? BTW, being pedantic, but I thought the M in TPMS stood for monitoring.
@vsmh965 жыл бұрын
I thought it stood for monitoring as well. I just got myself a unit and I'd say its accuracy is +/- 1 psi Haven't tested it out in the sun yet

Interesting gadget...Thinking about purchasing this one for my Delica. Just wondering though, how do you see this for weekend 4WD trips on sand? I would imagine the sensor will go off regularly everytime you bring the pressure down to 22-20 psi, since it`ll be way lower than the minimum threshold you would expect on pavement. Any thought on this? Cheers
@OverlandWay6 жыл бұрын
Changing the min pressure takes only a few seconds... So I guess you could either leave it low, change it every time you go sand or mute it once it started. It's pretty straight forward. The biggest hassle I see is taking the sensors off to drop and pump the tires :/
@s911454 жыл бұрын
I bought one from ali Express. Jansite. After installing the sensors the display is not showing any readings. It just stays ON with psi written on one side and °C on the other. Everything else is blank. I'm able to get into program mode and it works fine but the home screen is without any readings. Is my display device or sensor at fault or is the installation at fault?

I have the same one but I have different pressures on the rear tires and it is impossible to adjust the pressure of the front and rear tires differently.

Quick questions as we are driving in South America. Will we be able to get them in Mercado Libre as well and except the nuts is there any other way to lock them as the car stays by it self and someone can take them easy.
@OverlandWay6 жыл бұрын
OVERLANDDIARIES Hi guys, AleExpress delivers pretty much anywhere but different countries have different importing rules... So you might wanna ask the local of packages from China usually make it through or get stuck. Amazon delivers to some countries too, so it might be something worth checking. I can't think of any better way to lock the sensors right now but to be entirely honest, there is little someone can do with one single sensor.... So maybe the locking nut is enough? Cheers
@Overlanddiaries6 жыл бұрын
Do they come with any extra mechanism to lock on the valves ?I am afraid that they will attract attention as they look fancy.

how are the sensors connected to this unit? how to they send the data? Bluetooth? any battery source for the sensors?
@zoe..d6 жыл бұрын
TopTens these are connected via radio. Generally around the 433 MHz range. You just replace a small watch battery in the sensor, (CR1632 or similar). VERY CHEAP! you don’t have to replace the entire sensor.

Nice review, Alex. One question though... isn't 48psi too much? That's more than 3.3bar. Curious about wearing tyres at such high pressure.
@OverlandWay6 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, no 48 psi isn't too much. We've been running between 45 and 55 for 108,000 km depending on how loaded we are. We are overloaded though lol
@noidoisiuncaine6 жыл бұрын
Atm I'm running 2.3bar (33psi) with no extra load added, just the usual weekend camping gear. Trying to figure out the best pressure for fuel economy and tyre wear (aggressive 31" MTs). PS: Taco is getting bigger and bigger lol

I liked the review, but I'm not sure i like the locking nut principle. It will be quite annoying to untighten all 4 wheels every time you have to refill the tires, which happens a few times over a full year.
