I love the quality of the content you make. Even if you are not a sq basshead but a spl basshead, this is how its supposed to be done.

Congratulations for the work done in soundproofing the car, this means passion for audio car and all the time to try things and that's how we learn. It is true that now when I go by car and with 130 hz music, it will be against the phase.

Whats up guys , good content on this video, I drive a cadillac, so it's very quiet front the factory , but I've never measured it with a mic,and computer. Love ps videos, look foward to the build

It‘s a pleasure to watch… But i miss additional seals as a part of sound deadening. Most manufacturers save on this, so that the gaps in the area of the doors, the tailgate as well as the hood are often exposed… This doesn't cost much, but can minimize outside noise and keeps the area behind it clean…

I like this series of vids. I'm looking to do some treatment to a base model vehicle more for a pleasant drive. Glad to know it has a noticeable impact.

Insulating wheel arches and putting a film on the lateral windows could improve the situation. After this work now the glass is the biggest enemy.

best solution would consist in having a part of the response that increase with the road noise . you can find a solution with this apparel from stereo controls : dbs12

MLV on the boot floor and the tailgate might help to reduce the muffler noise. Test fit by just laying it out.

Another fantastic video, full of information we all need to consider. Can I just ask, what route your cables took from front to back? You talked about the speakers cables from rear to front each side, but which route did you take for the power feed from under the peddles through to the back, and which route did you take rca cable/s from dash to rear? And even the remote cable? Thanks guys!!!
@pssound97492 жыл бұрын
Power comes down in the centre along the tunnel. There’s no RCA in the car, only an optical line, which is not even used as we stream to the DSP’s built in BT.

@@pssound9749 Thankyou. I shouldve looked ahead on the next video! I know its the norm to separate signal and power cables, with speakers being unaffected, but wanted to check!! Keep up the great work!!

Hello sir,in the next video, let's talk about road noise influence on the target curve in car, compared to record studio target curve, it' all about different noise levels in different cabins, different spectral balance of this noise, it's about sound masking, etc.. In my opinion it's an intersting topic to talk about.
@alimahdavi22763 жыл бұрын
It's definitely interesting, but I'm afraid it'll be over most people's heads
@pssound97493 жыл бұрын
Of your listening level reaches the road noise, then you won’t be able to hear the actual sound, so u have to turn the music up, hence the quieter the car, the better. Don’t compensate with adjusting the spectral balance, but make the car quiet.

@@pssound9749 , I always drive 2000-3000kilometers one way when i go to the mountains, use different cars. Every time, i drive first 300-500 kilometers at the same speed , which averages in between 109 and 129 kilometers per hour , readjusting eq . I always attenuate higher frequencies, boost some mid frequencies. And then i drive these cars with pleasure, until rod speeds slow down. When i reach resort site, there is always low speed limit, same as in my hometown, and i turn this highway eq off and listen with my normal eq settings.

Peter, Did you consider placing butyl rope between the roof skin and the roof anti-roll supports? Have you tried that before?
@pssound97493 жыл бұрын
That could work if you can put it in there.
@adamdaniells95213 жыл бұрын
Something that works even better is applying a pu sealent like tiger seal or sikaflex to the gap between the ribs and the roof to effectively fix the two together better, it also reduces flex in the roof massively by making smaller panels
@jackykimes3 жыл бұрын
@@adamdaniells9521 So that "pu" is "polyurethane sealant" if my searching is correct? How much of a gap can it span? I saw the video on their website which looked pretty strong and flexible.

Nice. 6dB less, 2 times quieter. Was the engine RPM the same at tests, before and after? :D Different RPM, different engine noise, exhaust.

Peak on 120hz - was it on 1800 RPM? 120hz × 60 sec / 4 cylinders = 1800rpm
@alimahdavi22763 жыл бұрын
Nice work sir. I was thinking about the 30Hz fat peak and how to cure that. I was wondering if it was a large panel resonating or engine fundamental. Was it Engine fundamental? Most engines rest at 800rpm, which roughly equates to 24Hz for I4 engines. The (roughly) 30Hz noise tells me that your rpm's been around 1250rpm through the tests. Am I right?
@pssound97493 жыл бұрын
It was rather at 3k+. It can be a mixture of engine and exhaust.

Softening suspension bushings takes more off from rumble than 1-layer deadening. Wonder what stp recommend 3-layer deadening does.
@alimahdavi22763 жыл бұрын
I was thinking about the same thing when doing my first sound system. It will however, sacrifice some handling and suspension play. Going softer isn't a popular and safe method, especially in higher speeds.
