I owned a 2004 Envoy XL 5.3 and I can tell you that fir a stock engine it was plenty powerful up until I sold it after 17 yrs and 188k miles still had power. Not as much as my TBSS but no slouch as long as it was not humid outside that is!

That is good to hear. As popular as 5.3 v8s seem to be , I feel like they have a lot of potential that people do not realize. It is nice to see someone who had and continues to have great experiences with early 2000s GM v8s.

@@ModstarzOfficialagree 💯 I had the GMC Envoy XL as we'll getting another one I'd go GMC Envoy Denali over the Trailblazer SS

@@phoenixarizona8441 That is a good choice. I feel the Denali's are still underrated.

Idk about “Trackhawk Killer” lol. Not with a 4L60E it ain’t, even built those things only handle 500hp max and u have to take into account the cost of building em to that point, The cost of the car, the cost of the engine if u couldn’t find one with a 5.3, rebuild kit for the old ass junkyard engine and engine upgrades to get it to that 650+ horsepower mark; and that’s just for the parts, that’s not including labor, assuming u don’t have all the tools to build it urself in ur garage. If ur looking to beat trackhawks, ur def gonna be spending a pretty penny turning one of these things into a monster to be able to handle and reliably put down that power; and that’s all it’s gonna be at the end of the day, is a monster, cuz ur gonna be sitting in ur beat up raggedy, hard ass cloth seats while the trackhawk owner cries home in his heated and cooled leather seats sitting in his 80K dollar truck with a warranty.

Building a lh6 to around 550 hp literally cost less than 800 the cam and springs. and pushrods are under 650…… you can buy a strokee kit for these for literally for less than 1500. I have a 4l65e in mine and you can t56 swap one for around 4200

Luxury 😂 its 2000's GMC. DOD issues, you have to tear into it anyway, but no matter the money invested...its an Envoy Swap new seats in an SS

@@JM-dp9xl Yes one of the first things mentioned in this video is the DOD delete. I also made a video on the trailblazer SS as well . You can check it out here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXqbqoFvbdqmY7Msi=KWcne3kRyz31u2Is
