@@Stopbark Yes I mentioned different versions because the 35is. And WELCOME 🙏🏾. Cars that you can compare yours with for example are the GR86/FRS/BRZ and between your car and the 128i they are more affordable versions of what those cars can do. You made a great decision on choosing the N52 for lower maintenance and affordability. And I agree the sound is great. I will check but if the final drive (differential ratio) is more responsive on the turbo models than you can swap one into your car which will change the power band to be more responsive. You may lose cruising speed and reduce mpg by a small amount but then again that can also depend on how heavy your foot is. I’ll look into it a bit more and get back to your with what I find ASAP.

@@ModstarzOfficial Nobody runs 15x7.5" wheels (ours are 7" wide per the SCCA Improved Touring class rules), and even those are a challenge to get the tires to not rub the frame rails with anything larger than a 195/50R15 tire without the right wheel offset (35mm is best), longer wheel studs and spacers. I'm not familiar with the tires you mentioned. We run Hoosiers on the track, but there are whole bunch of really good 200 treadwear performance tires out there, such as the Continentals we run on Bill Snow's team in the ChampCar series. The ACR originally came with non-adjustable struts by Arvin, later they came with adjustable Koni struts. (KYB's do not hold up well to the shorter and stiffer springs). Mopar High Rates or X-High Rates were the springs to have, but over time they have become extremely difficult to find. Most guys now have some brand of coil-over shocks (BC's tuned by RedShift Motorsports are best.) With any of the above it is best to run the smaller stock non-ACR front anti-sway bar and a larger rear anti-sway bar, something like a 21mm. I have no idea what that transmission shifter rod is? Nobody I know runs EBC brake pads, mostly Hawk or G-Loc. Solid engine mounts will rattle the fillings out of your teeth on a street car.

As pictured, "The Banana" was running in the "Spec Neon" class at Waterford Hills Road Race Course on Gen-II 15x6" wheels and Hoosier SM7 Spec Miata tires.

$1,800 to $2,300? ... maybe, if it doesn't have a ton of miles on it and/or road salt rot ... decent turn-key road race ready ACR's are out there, usually for around $5k to $6k or so.

@@donsirsimon There are plenty of cars that run lowering springs or even a shock and spring combo be it daily driving or Motorsport application. I myself had a good experience with a simple eibach spring and kyb shock set up on a Miata. I do understand that is dismissible for some as it is not a popular thing to do, but those who do seem to enjoy it especially for their budget and purpose. And yes this Z4 does use one of the final variants of the n54 as mentioned in the video and I have a few videos linked in the description about how to gain more power on them as well as common problems to address. I cannot speak for everyone but I have had a great experience with some of the things you have mentioned. Now I will get back on topic a bit more. The power to weight between the 35is and the Supra 3.0 is pretty much identical, and sure the Supra is probably 2-3tenths faster but as I like to say that is what the aftermarket is for. It may need something as simple as a change in final drive to be just as quick but compared to the GR Supra it will probably need a tune. What I am speaking on here is a more affordable alternative to a car that people like but cannot afford and with that being under warranty and not wanting to do any upgrades to void warranty etc. The wheel and tire set up is a way to improve the ride quality and handling to make this a more complete and enjoyable car. All in my opinion of course. However, I do really appreciate you sharing your knowledge about BMW and how easy it is to have a conversation. Feel free to share more in the future.

The N54 on the Z4 is easily capable of around 370hp with a simple tune and no mods because it has forged internals. Not sure whether the b58 has forged internals or not. So it's a VERY fair comparison

As mentioned in the video this Z4 was made a few years back, and would be a predecessor if that makes sense. Even if it couldn’t be (which it can) spending less money for the same or potentially better result depending on the owner and goals seems like a win-win to me. Hello, from what I have seen and just checked there is not an AWD STS V. Which is interesting because there is an AWD V8 STS. The economy was interesting during the time these cars were made so I am sure there were compromises within companies on what they wanted to do vs what they could afford to do.

Nobody will make a no frills car ever again, especially with a manual transmission. The profit margin is all in the "content" ... a bunch of BS that adds cost and weight and complexity. The only "small" real performance car out there is the Toyota GR86, which starts at $30K.

In 2016 I bought a 2009 Mustang GT convertible with 17,000 miles with a 300 hp V-8, 5-speed manual trans, Shaker 500 sound system, four wheel ABS and nothing else for $18K. The word "content" makes me ill. 🤮

Hyundai has made some impressive cars like the Veloster N and especially the Sonata N which are more affordable than their competitors. I have to agree. I had a 2014 Rwd RT Max. I did an aftermarket tune, cai, kooks long tube headers, and stage ll comp cam. I ended up with Rwhp 402. I was able to " run" with the 392s...not necessarily beat them, even though I did some by an inch...lol. I spent 7k on all these mods. If I would of had 11K, all at once, I would of done a pro charger, tune, and cai. No headers, and no cam. I ended up having to sell it, long story. Next time, if I have another opportunity to get another charger, it will be used SRT 392. I will just do a tune and Cai, and pocket the other $6,200 from the 7K I put in my RT...lol

@@nathongisme5688 The kit is low boost around 8 psi, which a healthy stock block should be able to handle. I would get an oil catch can as well, and if you wanted to improve the durability of this set up either a water methanol kit or flex fuel would do. And of course tuning may have to be done to accommodate either. The good thing is the supercharger includes tuning, but if you’re going to run flex fuel or a water methanol injection then additional tuning might be required.

@@RespectingTrueMartialArts I feel the same. People say Illia is not cocky he is confident but he didn’t look so confident when max whipped and dropped Dustin the way he did. But behavior aside if Max fights him the way he fought Dustin he will win. He threw and landed 4-5 strikes while Dustin threw one. And i would say Dustin punches faster and stronger than Illia . And we’ve seen Illia get dropped before. Also max throwing and landing that spin back kick in the pocket. If you take all of the best fighters in combat sports history and today what 99% don’t do is fight in a pocket. When they do they are in trouble. That is one way for anyone to have a good chance of beating anyone who is considered top tier.
