Yes Sir!! Idk if u play but I saw a cover breakdown of this song and he puts just about every lick on a guitar known to man up until 1977 and so effortlessly almost to make fun of himself like yes u think this song is ez or I look like an average gtr player but look how many chord changes n up n down the fret I wrote this song in. It's incredible n much harder than it looks lol!!

why people call them "power pop" is beyond me! this is pure rock n' roll!!!
@nickymartinez-qj6nn Жыл бұрын
Yes this song is almost rockabilly roots but in all honesty they are a power pop slash pop band. Just facts. But they r also most likely the greatest power pop / pop band America has ever produced. Imho they r the equal to the Beatles who were the world's greatest pop band while the Stones took the crown for greatest rock n roll band. U can argue Zep n everyone else after words from Berry to Springsteen but these few facts I just mentioned r hard to argue. Besides the Raspberries Cheap Trick is the only band that in that era successfully took n either retooled or actually invented or took up after the Beatles the pop formula to writing. 3 is mins or less ...ez on the verses heavy on the chorus/hooks n get to that part fast like first 30 seconds. Mid tempo to fast ear candy that stays in ur head whether u hate it or love it n lite on the subject matter. Yes they did so much more n each musician was above average way above especially songwriting in the way I mentioned the technique and for example Tom with the 12 string bass almost like a 5 man band. Just the best pop songs ever. Jesus just for this one DPolice n Surrender they deserve to get in HoF lol I mean Come On Come On is perfect example of wat they were about in the peak of things. It's all respectful comments I love them but like the point is wat a Duran Duran did with a one time Hungry Like The Wolf or a J Gail'swith Centerfold these guys throw out better songs and everyone from Cobain to Grohl to Bruce to Pearl Jam I mean the world of music has got to go thru the school of CT if they r gonna drop a pop single n they all vouch for that. Makes them the most respected band and live show amongst their peers. I heard that they r the band in history that got most support from their peers for HoF it was the establishment that had to wake up but fans or so so alike and ALL the bands in their business felt it was a no Brainer...says alot for wat the business felt about their songcraftin abilities. Top teir for sure.

ERROR. BUN E. CARLOS ES UN GRAN BATERISTA, QUE LE APORTO TODO EL EXITO EN LOS TIEMPOS DE ESPLENDOR DE LA BANDA. ES MAS, LO TUVIERON QUE LLAMAR PARA TOCAR EN VIVO LA GRAN OBRA DE LOS BEATLES - LA BANDA DE LOS CORAZONES SOLITARIOS DEL SARGENTO PEPER - Y FUE JUSTAMENTE BUN E. QUIEN LE DIO LA VELOCIDAD EXACTA A UNA ORQUESTA DE 50 MUSICOS , EN VIVO, A CADA TEMA DE ESE ALBUM. ES DECIR, LA AUTORIZACION FINAL LA DIO EL MISMISIMO PAUL McCARTNEY, QUIEN PUSO POR CONTRATO QUE CHEAP TRICK DEBIA HACER ESA GIRA CON LA FORMACION ORIGINAL, COSA QUE NO CUMPLIERON, SOLO HICIERON EL PRIMER SHOW CON BUN E. CARLOS.

Incredible that its a son to father song after all these freakin yrs thinkin it was boy to girl lmao!! Anyways imho outside of The Beatles I want to hold ur Hand this is the 2nd greatest pop song ever. Pure pop slash power pop heaven. AND along with Surrender and Dream Police they own 3 of the GOAT of Pop music! Greatest Pop band ever in my opinion....i mean Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Green Day on n on Springsteen and the E Street Band The Raspberries on n on they all say it and wen ur peers say it thats it!
