Naw my family wasn't just poor, we were a statistic level of poor. Spaghettios were literally something I only had once or twice as a special treat because it was seen as an unnecessary luxury. My friends always got to have it and I never got to. To this day, as I live financially comfortably, I will buy a can just so I can fill that little urge in the back of my heart for them 😢

If we had potatoes she was make homemade fries or chips and put them between two slices of bread and ketchup. That was a luxury meal.
