Five years in and I still use FL's stock vsts. Spent a lot on samples, but never felt the need to buy a vst, especially when I've got Flex.

Where do I start lol. I don't even know what a plug in or mixing is. Should I just buy FL Studio and learn through trial an error? I haven't watched these videos in awhile, love the content Sharpe!

Plug-ins are different add ons for DAWs. They can be synthesizers, piano, violin esounds and etc... or effects you put on sounds. It's like an app for a phone. Different purposes. Mixing is when you "polish" each sound to your liking to make the whole song sound good. It's like cooking. You can put all ingredients in one bowl and call it a day. But to make it actually look and taste good - you need to mix it well and prepare it. I would suggest just watch tutorials and then try it on your own.
