Thanks man. As far as clearance with the seat in general, I have my entire interior back in as well as roll cage and I have more room now with these new seats. The other seats took up more space and being that they were not adjustable, limited space quite a bit. In terms of height, I’d say they are very similar if not exact. Plenty of head clearance etc even if I have a helmet on

I went and tried these out, and they were so much more comfortable than some of the other similar looking seats. I think the difference is where those bolsters are. If you look at your video at 4:00, you can see those side bolsters are pushing right into your shoulders with the QRT. At 15:20, you can see how the cutout lines up with your shoulders, give them freedom, and bolsters instead hold you firmly around your abdomen rib-cage. It's so hard to find that measurement of where the shoulder cutouts are though. You really need to try seats out in person or look at reviews for similar sized people. I'm also tall, with wide shoulders, so I think these are going to be the seat for me. The cheaper Summit Racing seats have the shoulder cutouts about five inches lower, so that upper bolster pushes right into my lats.

13kg without rails 😭 Definitely not a weight saver. I don't know what to expect in terms of comfort, but even on pictures the bottom part seems like a bit thin with lackluster padding. Maybe I will think about the R100+ because that seems like the more comfortable one. Thank you for the video, really informative and helpful! 👍

Haha, I don’t think the qrt’s are necessarily hotboi, they are really nice if you are actually tracking your car. But for daily driving, I much prefer the r100’s

Have you tracked the car with these R100 seats yet? Im really wanting to know how the lateral support compares to the QRT. Do they hold you super well? Ive heard with fixed back bucket seats, you can take corners completely relaxed and be one with the car. Can you fully relax while taking high G corners with the R100? Or do you still sort of need to support yourself? My build os a street build with track days becoming more frequent (maybe once a month) but with 275 semislicks, the lateral Gs are pretty intense, having to hold myself in the stock seat with the steering wheel. Almost bought the cheaper sparco seat here on this video but I tested and sat a few seats. So I bought a pair of recaro seats. The sparco were 600$ for a pair and the recaro were for 700$. But since I got 75$ off for the recaro for Black Friday, might of well take the recaro seats because it’s more comfortable

How has the vinyl held up? I’m about to hit go on this seat but after seeing the r100+ I was not impressed with the bolsters. According to sparco it’s just a different seat botttom. Thanks man good review!

All in I paid about 1400 for the two seats and all the brackets. The standard seat brackets won’t work without the sliders. The brackets are all trash, everything fits but not great. and the seat quality is so so at best. I can tell the vinyl isn’t going to last long.

Hey man, great video. Question - when you pull the levers to recline will the seat back also go recline forward so you can reach in your backseat or have someone climb in the backseat, etc. Or do they only recline back not forward? Ty! Happy new year!

I just bought these seats for my 89 CRX and i was wondering where do you get the seat belt portion/adaptor from?? Does it come with or not and can i use the oem portion from the old seats?? In a couple of days im gonna open the boxes and check for hardware also and if the portions or adaptor comes with or have to buy seperate which i see most likely thanks

Personally, I have never been a big fan of Sparco seats. However, I think leather was a good choice as it would match the rest of the reupholstered interior. I would maybe recommend the Recaro Pole Positions in leather, I believe they are a little cheaper the CS. They would also be closer matching to period correct for the e36 m3. Anyways, just my thoughts. Overall love the e36M3 build. It brings me back. PS. Fix that audio head unit! :)

@@dazamanday i have 2 r100+ on the way in full leather. R100 is discontiued according to my local sparco shop, and because of corona sparco are really behind on delivering. R100 are discontiued and r100+ havent landed at suppliers yet. Theres still some cloth r100 left but the black vinyls are gone
