Wow man, as soon as you mentioned the burnt prongs I checked my laptop's charger and it is burnt. I'm thinking this led to the damage on my battery that led me to the anti static mat video. Great vids!

I usually just use the components for something else instead of throwing it away. The components are good the design is bad.

Thanks for your comment. Before it totally failed, my son was telling me that it did tend to spark when it was plugged in. Definitely from this point forward, I will throwing them away if anything like that happens. Again thanks for the feedback!
