Yappy, don't spoil him on camping. Lol. I've camped all my life. Started with a tent, then fold down, now a travel trailer. Still love it. Most of our camping is with 2 other couples, loads of laughs.

My dad lived in Superior, Wisconsin for a year and there is no way I would camp in that cold of weather. But if you really want to rough it. Come to the swamps in Mississippi during August and see how long you can make it. It’s fn miserable. I would definitely pick Minnesota in winter over swamps of Mississippi in Summer. I stayed in a tent in Pensacola one summer with friends and I had to soak a wet towel and lay it over my body to sleep.

@@curtisyoung6708 its a loaded pack with a wick combined with flint and steel but you have to fuel it with lighter fluid. I have one you are welcome to Google it. He didn't fuel it so it won't light.

FYI..wooden matches dipped in candle wax make excellent water proof matches. Or a wooden match pressed into a lip balm makes a awesome emergency candle. Lasts about 2 hours.

Also the steak scene was hilarious. 😂 Op for the stir fry steak and baby potatoes and put it in a foil pouch. Double foil wrap the pouch. Make a fire, get some hot coals. And cook it for about 30-45 mins. Put some oil in there though and some of those seasonings. It’s the best!! 😋😋

You need to use coals to cook your steak it will cook the middle better. The flames just cook the outside, just a little advice.

Google the match thing. Some need kerosine the match last forever but the wick and fuel don't. You would have to look it up to see which one you bought.

I think it would be a pretty cool thing to have a challenge eat what you catch challenge make bows and arrows and make fishing poles and snares. That would be a good survival challenge.

If youre gonna use an ozark tent.. get some seam sealer or some kind of waterproofing spray the seams arent taped just stitched so they let water weep in around the bottom seams...also those metal matches require lighter fluid

I believe that forever match is suppose to have some zippo lighter fluid in the tube part that you dip it into or something like that. otherwise those little pieces of string make no sense just dry. so in a sense it is a zippo match.

Dig a hole do your business use the required amount of leafs. Bury the hole. Make sure the hole is deep enough to keep the odor in

If you do the challenge on a mountain or somewhere else either take a lot of survival straws or water. You could get real sick otherwise unless you boil the water.

Yea do a nuther one. I used to be in boy scouts for 10 years. But camping in a tent is to easy. Lol. As so if you get a new tent. Spray it down lightly with wd 40. It keeps it water proof

The forever lite needs lighter fluid in the place where you screw it the wick. Then you unscrew the striker and it will light when you strike it. It's a flint on the side and metal on the other part with the wick. Used them on BoyScout campouts
