You have taken the wilderness DIY terrain to a new level. I am specifically speaking of the ingenuity of what other perceive of as trash. Well done! My AD&D 2nd Ed. players have stumbled through a portal and are now in a vast, seemingly endless swamp / marshland. Your wilderness vids are my go to for crafting this terrain.

Just about to smash this tip out on a swamp base. One of the best tips I’ve learnt from Luke

Thanks for the tip Luke. Have just used the epoxy on my Airfix Waterloo diorama. Looks as good as the £12 water resin. saved me a fortune. many thanks!

Great video. If you are having setting issues due to the two parts not mixing. Hold the dispenser on a slight angle (not 45 just slight) with one tube over the other, this will drop the one part onto the other part when applying. This technique will also help for those small areas and dropping the steam onto a guide stick will place it exactly where you want it. Some brands come with a "whizzle" tube. This tube will mix the two parts as it goes out. I stopped using these as they ussualy come with only two tubes which are non reusable.

I'll try that next time. I've just made a river tile/section and there were a few wet patches after most of the resin had set. What I tried was to mix some in a small pot then poke it into the patches with a cocktail stick. It worked but wasn't 100%. I'll try tipping it on its side in future

Just attempting a Bushido board as my very first attempt , thanks for the water tips, I'd like to be in the draw for the base if it's still going. Could I also request any tips or tutorial on creating a larger river with some wave and breaking around rocks kind of thing please?

This is really interesting. Will be testing this out on some Orc basing. Cheers for the tips keep them coming. Do you have any cheap way of making cracked earth bases?

Does the barrier come off easy or do you need to put something like petroleum jelly on it?
@Strahd00424 жыл бұрын
Just a note, the reason it's so hard to squirt out is there is apiece of plastic between the plungers and the tube that must be removed, your fighting it, and trying to bend it. take that out, and it will come out fairly easy. It's there so the plungers don't become compressed during shipping.

PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION, I BADLY NEED DIRECTION/INSTRUCTIONS/HELP Hello, I have watched your videos and think your amazing and your skills are amazing, I’ve learnt a lot from you. I think you are the only person I can rely on for a solution for my problem, I can’t seem to find the answers I need I make miniature rainforests and have made rivers, ponds, and waterfalls out of epoxy resin. I have water effects plastic sheeting, I’ve used PVA glue to stick the water effects plastic sheeting onto the cured resin and I’ve found it isn’t working, I evenly put to PVA on the resin then place the cut to shape sheeting on then I place something heavy evenly on it and I wait for 24 hours for it to dry, I’m finding it really only attaches in the middle and not the edges Do you have any advice on what to do please? Im feeling very disheartening

Quick question about the epoxy, does it cure clear or does it have a yellow tint to it? Found a similar product here in the states that says it cures a light yellow color, and I'm wondering if I should pick it up or just try to find a product that cures clear
@DaveWeston8 жыл бұрын
+Lukes APS I'd recommend reviewing this a few months down the line just to confirm it stays clear. I've used products in the past for non-hobby related projects, epoxies like this too, that go on clear but over time yellow. Hopefully this won't as it's a great idea that I'd been thinking about but not got round to trying it.

I have used this product several times and mixed very well yet each time it dries hard but has a tacky/sticky surface. Have you had this before? Thanks so much
@shaunholme53067 жыл бұрын
I have put 4 coats on 😂. I have two pots left so will be doing another. Although the last one I mixed so well it went really hot a cracked the plastic pot I put it in and went brown. I can't win. How long should you leave it to see if the tackiness cures? Appreciate the help. Your work is amazing!

Boy tell me about shipping an item over the pond! I once sent y’all a couple of wooden beer mugs for your Beers of War event (do you still do this), & the shipping was $100 US. I charge $40 US for one mug so the shipping cost more than the items!
