Cheap way to replace your waste toner Dell C2665dnf

Its a very mess process and take a bit of time to get the powder fully out, once most of it is out try using a can of air and blow it out (again, it is very messy!)
Ps I am not sure if it will need replacing in the long run?

very good instruction. I removed the plug using a ceran glass cooktop cleaner blade. Carefully push it below the edge of the plug and then lever it slowly. When taping it back onto the waste box keep in mind that the sensor arms must fit into the two recesses / indentations and must be light-permeable. ;-) Fuck you Dell!

all - no need to remove the plug and have to tape it back. I just shake it deep inside a trash bag or outside trash and wipe it down with a rag and you are all set

You cannot remove that plug. please demonstrate how you removed the plug.

William McDermott yes it is glued in, I had to use a fine blade to cut around the edges. I went around the edge slowly until all the glue was broken then it just pulls out.

I just tipped the box upside down outside on a still day onto loads of newspaper. No need to take that plug out.... seems to be working fine on replacement.

The plug is clear plastic and glued in to discourage manual emptying. I pried it out, dumped it manually and taped the plug back in. But I used duct tape and the sensor inside the printer can no longer see through the plug so it senses that it is still full. I'm going to remove it, reglue it and try it again. Next time I'll just blow it out instead of removing the plug.
