There is not a single silicone airtip design that can match how comfortable and seamless the first generation airpod design fit in your ear. How many times you've forgotten you're actually wearing them? The noise isolating trend has taken over, not really sure why, tried a bunch of them and they all fall off or hurt after some time... Plus I feel it's so uncomfortable not to hear your own voice in conversation.

Traditional style earphones fit me well (also if your ears get waxy during the day then silicone tips will not stay in) and they dont fly out during workout. Did rope skipping, bodyweight workout and roller blading without them ever falling out. Also for use in public i prefer to hear the environment so Luma wins it for me 😋 I like your stability test and all other tests. Great review, thank u !

I am so frustrated by this airtip trend... I can't find any model that doesn't make earphones fly out my ears. They just won't fit. Tried Google, Xiaomi, Sony... So happy to see urban ears release this new model. Can't wait to try them.

This review was ever so helpful! I ended up getting the Lumas (mainly due to my dislike for silicone buds). To me, the fit is 10/10, and the material feels really premium 😍 I Love it! As for the sound, it's about the same as any other earbuds I've tried in the same price range, so it's A-OK 👌

Was thinking of buying the lumas too for the exact same reason! Have heard quite a few reviews stating that they're over-sensitive. How has your experience been so far? Also, is there a way to turn off the auto wear detection? :)

@@anupamarao4581 I'm overall pleased with the performance apart from the fact that both earbuds most often don't synchronise with each other. I end up using only one at the time. This is fine by me because I prefer it that way; when one is out of battery I just swap to the other one. I use the Lumas mainly for calls or music while I walk or cycle and want one ear free... But for gaming or exercising I tend to reach for my old Samsung earbuds instead as to avoid the hassle of trying to sync both Lumas together.

I will never use silicone noise cancelling ear tips. Two reasons. I want to hear my surroundings. Much safer. And most of all they hurt as hell in my ears, my ear drums have broken several times, because of the suction they produce. So I think it’s great that Urbanears are offering both.

I think I will buy the Luma. It is so hard to choose the right in ears. I have an Huawei p smart 2019. And for school online I need good in ears because I won't hear the noises around me. So I think the Luma is better then for me.

Minor correction: silicon eartips does not make it more secure in your ears always. None of the earbuds fits in my ear holes with the silicon tips. On the other hand Earpods or Urbanears Sumpan fits perfectly and never drops. That's why i only use the ones without silicon. I tried Sony and Haylou Bluetooth Headphones with silicons, neither of them stayed in my ear, i keep constantly push them into my ears in every 10 seconds.

Great video, as always, Aaron. Seems a bit backwards with these buds. I would have thought the albi would have been more expensive than the luma. Still, the both look good. Especially those cases. They look great.

Your reviews spot on. Having been an avid user of generic noise cancelling/over ear bass boosted headphones I must admit I wasn't impressed with the Luma's sound quality at first. It just felt like they needed some sort of injection. However once my ears adjusted, the headphones seemed to have moulded themselves to suit whichever sound is played. Granted they're not going to blow your mind but for middle of the road users on a budget I'd definitely recommend.

Really liked your review! I've never manage to put on a pair of headphones that have eartips. No matter how small, they just pop out of my ear. So, I'm getting the luma model just to be sure I'll be able to use them even though that means no hiit with them on.

I'm listening to this video from with the Alby. Just bought it a few days ago. I only use earbuds with silicone tips really help for comfort, and this one is great. My only complaint is that it sometimes only connects to one of the earbuds instead of both.

I have a problem. One earbud is pretty quiet than other one. It wasn’t like that until I started exploring and I might have disrupted something without knowing what. Sound was great but now sound is much worse and I dont know why. HELP

A runtime of 3 or 5rs seems very low. You can get great quality buds with fantastic sound and a 9hr runtime for around the same price. These seem like an option for people who regularly lose their buds so don't want to pay much. My sister is constantly losing hers or stepping on them.
