Cheaper Metabo HPT Impact/ Drill Set Review (KC 18DEX QB)

You give up some bells and whistles, but is the cheaper Impact and Drill set from Metabo HPT still a good set for those who are looking to save some money? We give a overview and our initial thoughts in today's video

Thanks for the review sir. Regarding the forward/reverse switch - it is hard to tell in the video just how much resistance it has. Have you ever went into reverse (or vice versa) by accident? As in by flipping the switch without meaning to because of how loose it is. Has it ever switched direction by itself?

Metabo are a good quality product and reliable tool,I send to my country one set just like this set in 2016 and still working like new with the same battery's oem original, so not bad same like Makita battery's last long better tahn milwaukee or Dewalt, because my Hitachi or metabo battery's have almost now 8 years and still working!!my Makita battery's have 5 years and still good so this brand are a good or the best durable drills no jokes 💪🏿👌🏽🤠

Metabo is good for the money. Lagging a bit behind Milwaukee, Makita, Flex, DeWalt, and Bosch. Better than Ryobi, Craftsman and Porter Cable. On par with Ridgid and Kobalt.

I have some rigid and I do like them... Kobalt seems a bit cheaper as far as quality but I don't mind them either. Metabo is even better when you get them on clearance. Then it can't be beat

whats the advantage to a metal chuck housing? there isn't any the grip of the housing when tightening is minimal at best it gets cold it gets dented and rusty and adds more weight to the tool I will take a good polymer plastic any day over metal this myth that the outer housing needs to be metal is absolute malarkey

It definitely doesn't need to be but I've been drilling in tight places and had my plastic one get all chewed up before. Both will last a while I'm sure I just have had my plastic ones get marred pretty bad.

@@Lazy943 haha never said it wasn't my friend... However as a homeowner I think I would be the first to use my tool a bit unprofessionally haha to get a job done. As always we all have different preferences and that's why they make them different.
