I'd struggle to tell the difference on this side of the screen! We'd all love a Miller but that Yeswelder does look pretty capable! Nice job.

It is obvious to me as a professional what torch I have in my hand, but the point is, top quality things can be fabricated with this extreme low budget welder. Thanks for watching!

You won’t be disappointed, it has truly been a great machine for me. Do yourself a favor and go to harbor freight and get the gas lense kit, it is much more compact and makes the torch much easier to handle!

Like you said it the yes welder is great for at home , we use Dynasty at work . I am looking for a small Tig like that for my Garage this seems like a great option. I got a fairly inexpensive smaller Mig and it weld just fine as well its perfect for at home as well. I am also a welder and yes its easier if you inow what too look for

Nice to see a review by a guy who knows how to TIG. I had been using the AHP Alpha TIG for the last 13 years and (crying) it died last week. So I researched and ordered the Yeswelder and foot pedal. Miller and Lincoln are just too darn high and I weld everything under the sun with Chinese welders. If they last 10 years and you have a 40 year welding career, you're still way, way ahead of the game. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for watching. I agree, I have owned both as home machines and I am just as capable with the equipment I have now as I was with the thousands of dollar stuff.

Same here. I've been using Miller, but it has gotten pretty expensive. The welds on the yeswelder look pretty good, and I might have to get one

@@artv787 it welds great, I wouldn’t replace a miller with one, but if it’s what you can afford, I do recommend.

@trailercourtsupervisor I've been a professional welder for 36 years and used Lincoln and Miller. I do love using Miller, but I don't love the price of new machines but will have to check a yeswelder out.

I purchased the identical YesWelder machine about 7 months ago having never TIG welded before and now welding together a mini-jet boat. Several questions about this welder. First, do you use gas lense all the time or have you welded with just a straight nozzle? I have tried both and although many successful welding sessions am continually finding that the torch is overheating to the point that the collet is distorting into a compressed twisted form. I have tried wedge collets and that seems to be a bit better but still overheating. My cleaning setting has never been higher than 30 (the number showing) which I believe would be 30%. The overheating occurs with both the gas lense and straight nozzle type. One thing I noticed is that the nozzle and collet combination seems to restrict the gas flow. Have you ever had anything like that happen? Any ideas? What gas flow are you running? I have done some of the welding of the main structure of the boat with my Miller 252 and spool-gun but TIG looks so much better for the top side welds.

I am not sure of the duty cycle, but this is a very small air cooled inverter machine, so the duty cycle is very low and I have never even attempted to weld more than a few minutes before the torch is almost too hot to handle. If you are stuck on tig welds, rent a water cooled machine or you are just going to have to be patient.

Your not buying what a machine can do when your a DIY person. They all do the same and most cheaper ones have the same functionality. It’s that the name brand high end machine are built for commercial use with a local customer service and parts center with warranty’s. That’s literally all it is.
@trailercourtsupervisor

I manage a fairly large weld and machine shop for a living and buy brand new Blue machines regularly. The line you gave about parts and warranty, yeah that is only kind of true. No doubt the red and blue equipment will outlast this, but they do not actually come with some out of this world warranty or service department. Probably 6 out of 10 times if a machine goes in for service, it is too much money to repair and I just replace the machine entirely.
