I would Totally eat there!! I'm against wasting money (including on gambling); if I lived in the area, I would splurge once in a while and treat myself. I'm cheap, but I'm not poor (probably why I'm so cheap). Honestly, the last time I went to Vegas with my boyfriend, I refused to gamble. he gave me 80 bucks which I spent as slowly as possible on the slot machines. I don't call it gambling since I knew I was going to lose. I have had a few boyfriends over the years who are serious gamblers and it's a frightening thing to watch.

I ate there many times when I was a student and when I wasn't (if you are not a student, it was more expensive.) Food was always incredible and fresh with an amazing variety. I highly recommend it.

For 8 bucks that food isn’t going to be the best thing you ever ate but it doesn’t look that bad to me. 8 bucks that’s hard to beat. If I was near there I would try this place. Enough variety and if you are with kids I doubt they would be upset with the selection as well. Good job Danny.

I have never heard of $8 buffet. In the past Shakey's lunch buffet was $7.99 and it was very good. Even fast food combos cost between $10-$15. DTM you should go there more often to get your veggies.

The wonderful bottom of the pizza suggests to me.....the staff may have overloaded the cheese instead of trusting in their customer favourite (less cheese). The server recommended the pizza for a reason. Kudos to the kitchen staff for trying to make a video-friendly pizza.

Kinda surprised that the UNLV dinning facilities are open to the public both for safety reasons but also because this is government subsidized food meant for students, not the public. If word gets out and they get busy then UNLV might control the access to the restaurant(s).
