How did you fix the CANBUS error ( flashing odometer)? I have a similar Chinese unit that produces this low level CANBUS fault on a 2019 Ducato

@@ammej768 sorry I don’t have that issue with mine. There is no odometer in my head unit. It’s still working fine after all this time.

There are loads all branded differently. I wanted one with a volume control I could twist to turn up and down, rather than a button. They do seem to be the same product though. Mine was cheap, around £60, and is still working fine. Sorry there isn’t a brand name on the front.

Nope. You have to get an extra adapter to set that up. I didn’t buy one, and I’ve just leaned over each time. Apparently it’s straight forward once you have the adapter

as you pulled the one radio out and plugged the connections stright into the back of the new radio ? does all the steering wheel functions work with it ? ref stereo volume and phone controlls etc

It was the same connections from existing van to new radio. You need to purchase a connector separately to make the steering wheel controls work. I didn’t bother, and use the radio controls on the radio.

Can you power this on without the ignition being on?

I think that depends on what power feed you use. In my van the existing power supply came from the ignition switch. However, if you can route a different power feed from a suitable place, it will work (maybe a leisure battery, if you have a Motorhome).

Is this the 7inch one? Do you think a bigger 9inch one would fit?

Don’t know about 7 or 9 inches, but this one is called ‘double din’ size. I think anything bigger and you would struggle to get a ready made surround for it. Best wishes!

Good. Haven’t had any issues at all. The only quirk for me is that it doesn’t play radio when plug my iPhone in. So I have to use streaming audio if I want to listen to radio. That’s not a big issue. Good quality sound too
