Not a bad budget option! I remember the train theme and the old motel-style rooms that were behind the tower. So many renovations and upgrades! Its definitely a whole new property now.

I didn't know they had motel style rooms. I think I've only walked through here maybe 2-3 times before. I remember it being ok besides from the cool facade, a bit forgettable but I was really surprised at how nice it is now for the price.

@@Dani702 yes, the property has an interesting history. Frank Fertitta basically launched his Stations empire with a bingo parlor and a small casino on that spot in 1976. He incorporated the motel that was next door into his casino a few years later, and then added the tower in the late 1980s (I think). I have an engineer friend who worked on Sunset Station and Green Valley Ranch. He knew the whole story of Station Casinos.

So our guys week out in 2008 brought us to the Palace Station. As coincidence would have it, we were there when they were reading the verdict for OJ's stunt at the hotel. Every TV there, or so it seemed, was tuned in and after the first guilty verdict dropped, everyone including the employees broke out in a resounding cheer. Won't ever forget that!

It was! I was pretty happy with our room. A king bed assigned would have been better for Eddie and I but it ended up an upgrade when I was checking in. Otherwise, great room.

I'm really pleased that at the third attempt you finally managed to find a cheap hotel room that didn't keep you awake with noise during the night. When I first saw the title of the video, the thought that went through my mind was "I wonder if Dani managed to sleep properly this time?"

This made me laugh out loud. It's kind of ridiculous how much of a light sleeper I am. I wake up over the slightest noise, light, or movement. Lol. I had to put a pillow on top of the clock but I otherwise slept ok* here.

Dani you have been exploring hotels since 2018 and you went to Orlando in 2019 and come back home to Viva Las Vegas in 2022 I am so happy for you my favorite hotels have to be the stratosphere, LINQ, Excalibur, Wynn, resorts world, Luxor, mirage, and the Paris hotel they are some cool hotels in Las Vegas but I am still trying to go inside of the Wynn hotel

Great video! Palace Station used to have a free shuttle to-and-from the airport and to-and-from the Strip. I wish they would bring that back. They do have the biggest TV I've ever seen in any Las Vegas hotel.

Nice tour Dani. I live an hour N of LV, l loved staying there when it was called Bingo Palace. I used to get rooms for $19. But over the yrs, the price rose to $79. So l decided to buy a studio condo just down the street at LV Country Club. So l visit Vegas more often, and still enjoy going to Palace Station. Thanks for the Vid.

The seafood pan roast at the Oyster Bar is da bomb. There are people who drive from LA just to eat that seafood pan roast. However, the wait eventually got to me after a several visits. And I've tried different days and hours. The wait is 3-5 hours.

@@Dani702 Don't worry, their claim to fame Seafood Pan Roast, does NOT have oysters in it. Their Clam Chowder is also very good. That wait is brutal. It's best to have several people taking turns waiting.

Oh man, haven’t been to Palace Station since I was a kid. I believe I went bowling there. Pretty smart giving the locals a deal. For a room this is nice. Oyster Bar sounds amazing. My wife and I would love that. Thanks for the tour of this place.

I'm allergic to oysters but i keep hearing good things about the oyster bar. The line kept getting longer as the night went on. I'll have to try it out and just opt for a non osyster dish. ☺️

Since its been a long time since I’ve been to Vegas I can’t quite remember were the Palace Resort is now even though there wasn’t a lot of people there I thought it was quite beautiful and to stay there would be great and I’m glad you and Eddie were able to spend some time together there another thing is your breakfast was big as heck but also looked good as heck another thing was when you were talking about the pool while sitting in the room I noticed your shirt and even though I couldn’t make out what it said it was one cool looking shirt well thanks for a trip through Palace Station and I glad you both had a great time now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Dani and Eddie and I’ll see you on the next awesome Vegas adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️

I was staying at Sahara but drove over to Palace Station to eat breakfast at the Brass Fork two days in a row. The food and service was very good and so were the prices. And strangely, in the casino they had a $10 3/2 blackjack table right next to a $10 6/5 table.

I like how it's not that crowded , Probably most places are like that during the week I suppose , The chair in the swimming pool is really cool , Are there elevators for people that have a fear of heights , You know elevators that are not on the outside of the building ? Great job guys thank you !

I think there was 5 elevators and only one had the window. We loved not being in the crowds. That might have been the quietest Ive seen a pool haha, but we loved it.

I had just stayed there a few weekends ago. Oyster Bar I highly recommend, the bouill-roast is one of the best things I've ever eaten, and no surprise the best oysters I've ever eaten- they were comically plump and puts every other oyster I've had around the world to shame. The worst part of the experience was that on Friday nights, they have live latin music going past 1am in the pool area so if your room is on that side of the building, you will not be able to sleep because you will hear it. I passed by Ivana Petrovic so maybe that same ruckus kept her up and caused her to lose her fight lol. I'd recommend requesting a room on the other side of the building to avoid it. They are very generous with comps, though the host assigned to me was extremely lacking so I'll have to request someone else.

Good tip about the Latin nights. I was kind of bummed they didn't have it the night I was there but I can see how that can keep you up. I need to go back to the oyster bar. I keep hearing good things. I'm allergic to oysters but it sounds like other items are good too.

They used to have a huge European car festival which I would go to yearly.. So many good memories there. So glad they renovated and moved the pool the location….. it was so nasty. I still stop in at least once year to eat at the Oyster Bar and throw a few bucks in the machine for nostalgia. I will say Boathouse is really good and not overpriced, oh yeah parking is still free!

@@Dani702 Oh yeah, you used to have to walk through a service ally by all the dumpsters and dirty laundry to the courtyard rooms (also demolished) During the summer when it was 110 it would smell something awful. They did the renovation in 2018-2019..

Lol get misted.im such a light sleeper and light bothers me at night. You can dim the sides of the clock but you couldn't dim the front so I ended up putting a pillow on top of it lol.

Dani, do you know if there are any hotels in Vegas that do not charge what they call a resort fee and I call it an F You fee! I was told that 4 queens does not charge a resort fee. But that aside, love your reviews.

Dani i remember the day the resorts world hotel opened in Las Vegas I saw it on tv the fireworks where nice the people who were about to cut the ribbon were nice and sparkly so yeah i hope i get a chance to open my three hotels that i told you about the fountain, mirrors, and sugar rush i can tell you what these hotels will have starting with the fountain hotel this hotel will have a big giant fountain out in front of the hotel where alot of people can see it the hotel rooms will be the color blue with an ocean painted wall and now on to the mirrors hotel this hotel it's name will be spelled backwards because do you ever see anything behind you when you look at yourself in the mirror everything in your room will be backwards that's how i want this hotel to be and the sugar rush hotel you already know a candy themed hotel with secret barrels full of candy
