Hello young shipmate. Just some advice from the old geezer here: Do not (repeat do not) buy any of those cheap vehicles. If you are going to buy - buy something decent - a name brand. I always advise to buy something about 1 - 2 years old, with hopefully low miles and maybe some warranty left. In the long run you will be much, much more happy. Never rush, take your time, and you will be glad you did. Enjoy!
@crey38173 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. Get a name brand. It's easier to find parts and service if something goes wrong. With all the places you adventure to get not only a 4WD, but bigger tires, like the truck your buddy, Kumander Daot has. Tiny tires like that red and black multicab has will easily get you stuck in the mud and dirt.

Hi Kulas! Thanks for another interesting vlog. I know you are not soliciting for anyone's advice regarding those cheap Bongo trucks & transport vehicles. But, I am going to say my little advice anyway. Just for your safety & for proper insurance purposes, get a good reliable brand vehicle, like Ford, Toyota, Hyundai, Honda & Dodge Ram. Doesn't have to be brand new, but reliable working order. Thanks!
@chadhugo27553 жыл бұрын

As I said, it was so clean, no dent, & it did me well for 6 years, until parts started to go slowly because every parts was original, ( stock). That's why I decided to buy a new SUV, no more second hand for me. Old cars are expensive to mentain when parts start to go. Pls. chill sir, no offense intended. That was just my personal experience. You just bought the most reliable small vehicle in the Philippines the maintenance of which is just like a tricycle. I have three units of that in the late nineties but I sold em all because I've grown so bored of the vehicle and I wanted to drive an SUV for a change. I used to drive them around Mindanao until them all. I bought them from Cebu @ 100K for three units. That was the late 90s.

The steering wheel is mounted upside down on that pakistani suzuki. It actually started as a van with sliding doors in Japan and they chopped the rear to make it a truck bed but you cannot do a heavy hauling on those. The Bongo double cab is more suited for hauling cargo with 5 passengers in the cab.

I would suggest the Bango Double Cab, either the Kia or Hyundai. They're both original Left Hand Drive. They're both diesel feed so it would be costly to travel from CDO to Cateel. Lástly, get the 4 Wheel Drive, its better to have it and not use it, than to need and don't have it.

Years ago I knew a company that cut Japanese cars (only a few years old) into halves, packed them into containers then re-joined them back in Australia. By doing this they were avoiding car import tariffs, and only paying tariffs for 'car parts'. I think you may be describing the same. 😊 Japan has some crazy emission rules that means they get rid of their cars at a very young age.
@rexbanzuela31683 жыл бұрын
Hi Kulas, just make sure the engine is in very very good condition. Remember the time you and jandi got stuck in the mountain road in cateel when the bonggo broke down. The paint and the outside panels are always looking pretty so that the dealer can attract sales. Here in the U.S. they are known as Key trucks. In most states you can't drive them on roads and not on federal interstates. It is a shame because they get very good gas mileage and are very affordable. Most of the Key Trucks that are in the U.S. come from Japan and come mostly in one piece. Many are used for utility vehicles on farms, ranches, and areas with large campuses. Funny thing is they all come as right side steering wheels because they are not pieced apart.
