CHEAPEST VEGETABLE! - American HAGGLES for Moroccan Fruit at SOUK - Cost of Living Morocco - Maroc

Aourir, Morocco, of the Souss Massa region holds a weekly souk that seems to be growing with each week. We have been documenting our souk trips this year while exploring the cost and seasonality of Moroccan fruits and vegetables. In this weeks episode we find a historical deal. One dirham special as we have never before seen at a Moroccan souk in North Africa.
North of Agadir, you can find this souk in the Taghazout bay region. We bought sugar cane juice, carrots, sweet potatoes, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, avocados, raspberries, kakis, cherimoyas, radishes, mint, parsley, and cilantro. All the produce is fresh and many of it is organically produced. A lot of the produce here comes from the Agadir region.

Prices are very good there compared to big cities in morocco, also vegetables looks fresher. your negotiation was cringy😂😂, but you make it. As a Moroccan I don't negotiate when I'm buying from souk I just hang out and ask every one about the prices (I don't make the seller feel that I need his product) so the sellers reduce prices to encourage me to buy from them. But this is only when I'm buying expansive fruits like anas or kiwi, for the rest of the vegetables there is no negotiation and the prices are always the same. Injoy your fruits.

Regarding the artichoke,remove the leaves,clean the head and stuff it with meat and cook it,I am from Morocco and my mom always did it this this way,enjoy,just put potatoes slices at bottom of pan.

Brisco suggests that when you write prices in dirhams and kilos, you also include the equivalent in USD and LBs, not just the USD. Brisco thinks that your US based audience would be even more amazed at reading 5 cents a pound, than they would be at reading 11 cents a kilo. I lived in the states for 15 years, many, but not most, of my friends probably can't make the conversion.

The peppers you can roast on fire until black, then rub off the black skin and cover with oil to preserve. You can add them to dishes sandwiches and makes sauces and dips like harissa or tapenade.
