Bob's 100% right. This is a great day trip power source or because of the ininterruptable power supply feature, is good for work at home folks to keep both your router and non gaming laptop going for at least 4 additional hours on top of the laptop's battery. Also great to power low power fans to keep you cool. Bob you hit this review out of the park. PS Bob, heads up , the 9 inch $30 Alpiaz usb fan can run off a plain old portable power bank for phones all night and this Bluetti even longer. Do a review on that fan. It's very quiet for light sleepers and pretty strong for a 9 inch fan. Great fan if power goes out.

As a battery backup / UPS this has lots of uses around a house or small / mobile office. From lighting, monitors, laptops, PC towers/desktops, CPAPs/APAPs, personal electronic cutters (Scan N Cut, Cricut, etc), fans, MyBook external USB hard drives (not the kind powered off USB), stereos, etc.

I do camping primarily with no big appliances. I did my research and went to the Jackery site first, narrowed it down to 2 different units for my need and budget. Then went to Bluetti to compare and found the EB3A and what drew me in was the battery primarily and also the surge it could handle. It’s enroute and I hope to get it next week. Always nice to see a good review backing up my own research. Thanks!!

The iron and coffee maker were run in power lifting mode. And of course computers and other electronics.

I purchased this last night after seeing a short video from you on Instagram. I have been contemplating buying a small one to have it sitting on the passenger side floor of my small van. I do have a large system in the back of my van that runs my fridge, ceiling fan & a few other items. It is located in a hard to reach area & so I wanted something easily available to me for phone, IPad, Watch & other smaller items. So when I saw this available & knowing the quality of Bluetti items, I immediately snagged one at the sale price, along with the $10 discount from seeing it offered through you. Looking forward to receiving it & using it during my travels. Thanks so much for giving us an overview of this new power system.

I have a Eb70 which I am very happy with. My only complaint is I did have to deal with customer service when I first got it. The number in Las Vegas was not answered and then I sent an email. The person receiving the email was in China so there was a delay in getting back to me in the USA. I wasn't aware there is an office in las Vegas. Bluetti also needs to make a better manual. The one I had was mostly unreadable. They need to hire a native speaker of English to write a better one. But all in all it is a great product.

Every unit has it's place and this one fits perfectly with first being a backup to a more powerful unit and a "wife can take it on short trips no problem" unit. I also see it as an emergency bug out in your vehicle battery. Charge it in your car while travelling using it to power a laptop and recharge phones or tablets. It also is small enough to fit and store in tight places.

That's an amazing unit, Bob! Have been reading many positive recent reviews lately on that starter solar product because of its price tag. Two years back you featured the Jackery 500 (518 Wh) on your channel. It was pricey but on sale thru your channel. I also purchased (on 8/29/19) their double solar panel suitcase featured with the product at the time. All told I spent exactly $399.98 for power station & $299.49 for solar panels, totaling $697.47. Fortunately it came with a 2 yr warranty and I was just under the wire when I noticed it was no longer charging. Honestly, It had been used on a few car camping trips and as an hurricane backup power station for small electronics(cell, laptops, fan etc) during occasional power outages here in Florida. The folks at both Amazon and Jackery were fantastic. They did exactly what you said the Bluetti and other caring manufacturers normally do...they told me to dispose of the failed unit responsibly (take it to the dump or find someone who is into solar, etc. and wants to fool with it as they could not ship repair parts...I had an inventor friend of mine take it apart and he was able to identify the problem area, so were were trying to fix it and not waste something that was in mint condition!) Within a few days of filing my claim I received a new unit via UPS. THAT IS STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wholeheartedly recommend Jackery. Thanks much for these great vids. They are a help to many including me! Loving regards to you and all the HOWA folks.

The larger inverter is perfect for the little Dash cooking appliances like the toaster oven (550 watts), mini egg bite maker (420 watts), the mini waffle maker, mini "Bundt" maker or mini griddle maker (350 watts) which you will only use for a few minutes at a time. At the price, it is competitive with other power stations with the same storage capacity.

I'm confused. How does it work if it is only 268w??
@Writ3r_Dude
@Writ3r_Dude 10 ай бұрын
@@amyfreeze9772 The storage capacity is 268 watts. That is how much electricity the batteries hold. The Inverter is rated at 600 watt hours. That means it will use 600 watts in an hour, if you run it at full capacity. Let's say you are using the Dash mini toaster over, which is rated a 550 watts, meaning it will use 550 watts in an hour. But it cooks a mini-pizza or something for you in about 6 minutes, or 1/10th of an hour (might be faster or slower, just picking easy numbers to work with). 550 divided by 10 equals 55, so it will have used 55 watts of stored electricity. If your EB3A power station started out fully charged, holding 268 stored watts, you would then have 213 stored watts of power left. Of course, in the real world the numbers don't work out exactly like this, as quite often small appliances use a little less power than they are rated for when they are brand new and start to use more as they age, or sometimes use a teeny bit more than their rating because the manufacturer was sloppy. There is also a small amount of power lost in the inverter when it converts the battery power from DC (direct current) to 110 volts AC (alternating current).
@colacurciolaw7745
@colacurciolaw7745 8 ай бұрын
@@amyfreeze9772It can be confusing! Think of the "268 watt hour" capacity as the size of your gas tank. If you had a skillet that consumed 268 watts per hour, you could run it for an hour (a bit less in reality, but let's keep it simple.) With the 268 watt hour gas tank, you could run two of those imaginary skillets for 30 minutes each. Or a 100 watt lamp for 2.68 hours. Play around with the numbers-it gets easier with practice.

I just received a refurbished EB3A this week from ebay for $150. They come with a 2 yr warranty vs. a 3 yr for new. Outstanding product from what I can tell. I did have some concerns when I was trying to charge some small Lucy light devices because the USB-A was not registering an output on the meter, though the USB-C registered fine when charging my phone, as did all of the other ports. I called customer service today, Sunday, and a young lady helped me very well informing me the small draw from the Lucy lights was probably not enough to show on the meter. I was able to confirm that by finding these little camp lights had indeed been charged up fully. I received the AC plug and the solar plug then ordered the car plug from Bluetti for $10. The vehicle that does have 110 plugs, they can only be used when the engine is on. We have minimum power needs, but being able to plug a 110 device in with out turning the vehicle on would be wonderful. We currently use 2 20,000mAh battery packs, USB charging only. My smart phone is so old it does not have the ability to wirelessly charge, but we are replacing it on my birthday.... hmm, maybe I could get the EB3A and a new or refurbished newer Smartphone. Picked up one of these refurbished off the Bluetti site for $139 ($150 with taxes.) Works well. The app just crashes if I try to do anything other than just view the status. Others have complained about the issue. It works but it is noisy. There is a whine out of the unit that seems related to the fan (sounds like coil whine, not the blades.) Don't use the wireless charging as I don't have an expensive phone but USB C charges it fast. I use it now to power my PC as a UPS and charge my phone. Runs my low-power PC for almost 5 hours. For the price it is a great deal and at the refurbished price, cheaper than a decent UPS.

I usually say it's the ecoflow River with lifepo4, wireless charging and less power (just a bit). The ecoflow trailblazer with these features.

Just ordered this after Black Friday sale on Amazon and wasn’t able to shop during Black Friday had too wait for payday but I finally got it ordered today. Wish I had known about this one before I started ordering Electric Generators. I first ordered the Dengawa 250 watt hour and 250 watt power 67,500 mAh battery power station on Amazon on sale with discounts on the 40 watt solar panel kit included with it which it alone charges other small devices too which is cool and I paid around $110 for the Bundle that’s originally $250 for the whole kit and I love it even though it’s just a regular pure sine wave 1000 Full charge cycles too 80% capacity it’s still great and it’s ran many things for days as I tested it out on many things I needed test on when I do finally go the van life deal. But it’s wall Charger sucks at 8 too 9 hours too charge. But it’s still good and gave it a good review and they gave me a huge discount on buying another one so I did and got another one for $65. Then I ordered a SinKue G300 pure sine wave 70,000 mAh battery at 260 watt hours and 300 watt inverter but again tbe regular lithium batteries at 1,000 full charge cycles at 80% capacity again. Got this Power station a few days later after the other ones when I saw it on a good sale on Amazon and I saw it telling you the watts input and output stats which I loved. Very much needed too know that info that the other ones don’t do. Got it on sale for $141 and it’s $200 original price and then again I see many videos of this one in the video the Bluetti and it’s on sale with a $90 off coupon on Amazon for prime members and makes it basically $210 and that’s a steal for this one and it’s a 600 watt inverter and will surge up too 1,200 watts and a 268 watt hour battery that charges in a hour where as the other ones I have are good don’t get me wrong but they all take hours and hours too charge by wall outlet but work great for me so far other than slow as Moses wall charging. Also the Bluetti will do 2,500 Full charge cycles by what it says in its Amazon description so I don’t know where the 3,500 full charge claim comes from but I like that this one doesn’t come with a power brick and it’s built in and just so much better. Had I known about this one first I’d of just bought 2 or 3 of these on sale instead of the other ones I got but I like the other ones too their still all good and I got them cheap so I’ll keep them unless I see issues then it’s returning they go and then getting another one of these bluetti’s and I like that this one tells you all the stats on watts and has a app with it too and the others I have don’t have that. Also the Bluetti tells you battery percentage by numbers unlike the other ones I have which are bars and I don’t like that I like to know the exact battery % I have left like by number % too be exact not guessing by bars like the others. But overall I think I’ll be set on electricity in cars, vans even a rv or if the power goes out in my house. Bluetti is soon gonna be on its way too and I can’t wait too start playing around with testing it too lol. I’m addicted too these small power stations I think I need electric generator rehab lol.

Hey Bob, great review. I love your videos. One thing you might want to mention next time when talking about a uninterruptible power supply is using a computer might be a better example if when you are running your computer plugged in through the blue Eddie if you have a power outage Then there’s no interruption in power to the computer so the computer won’t shut off and you won’t lose data that’s where the uninterruptible part comes in and that’s extremely important when working with computers and what not. And this is in Kim and can be very new wants feature. Some companies will advertise. They have it but the switch over is not quick enough. Generally it needs to be 10 ms are less so all those some batteries can power devices through them. If there was a power outage, the battery would not kick in fast enough to prevent so your computer blinking off and you’re losing all your unsaved data.

I’ve had the Baldr 330 watt/297 wh power station for about 2 years now. It certainly compares to the one you are showing, although not quite as good. Maybe you should look into Baldr. But the one you displayed will definitely be my next purchase in the next year!

The key question is your unit Lithium ion batteries or LiFePo4 batteries. Lithium Ion is only good for about 500 charges before the batteries start losing the ability to charge and hold power. Does not die instantly but greatly reduced and degrades fast. LiFePo4 batteries are rated at 2500+ charge cycles and often exceed 3000. That is a big difference in the product life. Plus this unit is so much faster charging that any I have seen.

Just purchased one. So excited! Ty Bob! I was going to buy a 12v fridge which draws 45W. Will this Bluetti power it? I also have a Renogy Phoenix 300. I have a 50w and a 100w Renogy solar panel. I could piggyback use those to keep a fridge running? The Phoenix charges slower and was told the 50w is the highest watt solar that I could use with it. Also, Bob, I don't know what devices I could run on these. I thought the Bluetti was a bigger battery than the Renogy Phoenix 300. I am trying to learn all this electrical stuff. LoL

excelente review, my only question is: is the charging modes only for AC charging?? I hope so cause i wanna charge this battery in my car with dual charging but with silent mode cause my AC port is a 150W 110v, plus the 100w DC port, so i can charge it at 200W without blowing the car inverter fuse

The smaller power stations like that are not going to run your house but they are absolutely perfect for running 5 Watt and 10 Watt LED light bulbs, USB fans and things of that sort, they last for days with small things like that.

It most definitely won't run a heater. Even if you had one small enough to run on 600 watts it would only do so for about thirty minutes before the batteries were enpty.
