We overlapped in Flagstaff AZ around July 4th of 2024, and Debbie was so kind and helpful!! We had critters climbing in our engine, and she shared her tips and spray and we were able to get rid of them. She also shared stories and some equipment she no longer needed - one of my favorite moments in the van life community ❤ Debbie is lovely!!

That high top is nice. For me, I couldn't give up a cargo box on the roof of my minivan. But I'm tall, and it's fairly easy for me to reach stuff in my cargo box. But I can see how the high top is a good solution for this woman. She looks happy!

How neat to see Autumn doing this interview. I saw your interview on this channel a while back and now you are doing the interviews! What a perfect fit. Bob has been looking for other to pick up the torch and I absolutely love the few young folks he has collaborated with. Love ❤ love ❤ love ❤ it!!!

I love that so many people are choosing to live tiny and free. I'm suddenly reminded of this old cartoon on nick jr in the mid-late 80s with koala siblings and a platypus inventor that lived in a submarine in the river. I thought his little sub was the coolest possible space to live except maybe the Ewok village in Star Wars. Vanlife creativityt reminds me a lot of the feeling I got about that submarine :)

Debbie is amazing! She has SO many unique designs. I’m seriously thinking about an awd minivan with a tall high top so I can stand up. But having the smaller vehicle is starting to make good sense. Just like Bob downsizing into his Subaru and Runaway trailer. When I get on the road, I hope to get a chance to visit with Debbie. She seems so very genuine!

One more tip if ever in areas of fire ants spray tires. I was at nc beach and had taco bag that drew in fire ants the night I arrived and they caused me to leave after a 2 nights of waking up all night and having blisters from bites. I have since gone back several times over 2 years same spot and upon arrival I spray tires and area getting in and out and never had this issue. Mice and rats are big concern for eating vehicle wiring and if you can spray tires where they climb they will not get in.
