Well, as a former EMT for 7.5 years I can tell you that we keep the units very clean. Constantly. If there is biowaste it is disposed off at the hospital. Decontaminated. I've been thinking of getting an ambulance as my Nomad home for awhile now. I've been in many different ones over the years and I'm really comfortable in them. I love what this couple has done with this one and great choice in the engine and diesel.

All the years I worked EMS I never thought about any restless spirits staying behind in them. I remember the first baby I delivered in one. The mother named her after me and my partner and I signed the birth certificate as the "attending physician." Dena Randi MacDaniel. Hope she's doing well and she's happy.

This is my favorite video so far. I just bought my ambulance 1month ago, and kind of didn't know where to go with it. I just knew I wanted a bed, a kitchen, a full shower. Must haves. I just really didn't know where to put everything! I knew I did some kind of way, keep the original cabinets as well. I'm a solo female on my on, it's literally just myself and God. You all have given me so many great ideas! You all literally have me super excited, I can't wait to get started!!! A million thank yous. I'm planning an Alaskan and Canada trip, I hope I meet you one day. You guys are super chill, and super awesome. May God bless yall forever.

The other benefit of being a liveaboard in an ambulance is that ambulances are specifically designed to exceed rollover accident survivability standards (You Tube has videos of ambulances being put through these rollover tests). Having such a strong frame supporting one's home would be quite reassuring. Ambulances tend to be well insulated too, and it goes without saying that they are meticulously built to very high standards! That white tile effect wall covering really created the home kitchem ambience and transformed the vehicle into a home. Likewise the cabinet doors, lovely, homely and warm. Sensibly, they did not attempt to fit a dedicated toilet and shower room into such a small space in which they had to live. Their solution meets their needs and that's all that counts. It was nice to hear how completely at home they felt, and having both worked on the interior it would add to that feeling of having personally built their home. No two people fit out their vehicles alike and I find it fascinating to see how different people approach the challenge, and starting off with an ambulance gives one a head start due to the abundance of high quality storage cabinets and lockers already in place. There is a growing community of ambulance liveaboards and a wealth of possibilities for layout and fit out. This lovely couple have created their cosy, comfortable Travel Cabin and its a real gem!

Another great interview! I have been looking at ambulances and the three main things that draws me to them is strong engines that have GREAT towing capability, cabinets with electrical installed, and lots of storage. I plan on using the ambulance as a mobile office, and pull a travel trailer for my living space. That way I have the space to work with A/C, power, and plenty of storage, but have a home with all the necessities like a kitchen, bed, and bathroom built for me that and made to travel. So I guess I'm kind of a nomad and a full time RVer hybrid. Thank you putting out such valuable and entertaining content.
