Tweetsie Railroad Ghost Train Opening Weekend 2024 | Blowing Rock, NC

While in NC for our Land of Oz visit, we made a trip over to Blowing Rock to revisit Tweetsie Railroad Ghost Train. The Ghost Train event is a family friendly Halloween haunted event, complete with trick or treating, a haunted house, spooky forest and an incredible haunted Ghost Train ride around the park. The fun factor of the Ghost Train is off the rails!

Tweetsie is closed because of catastrophic damage and loss from hurricane helene. Most roads not even accessible to get into the mountains. Research hurricane Helene and the areas that were affected before planning a trip here. It’s horrific.

Oh my goodness....my mom and dad used to take us to Tweetsie all the time when we were kids. Great fun memories! I'm 65 years old now and its still some of mine and my siblings favorite mountain and train memories. Thank you for sharing this video with us and taking us down memory lane yet again! 😊❤

I live near by and been a few times. The creepiest part is you’re in the mountains in the pitch black of night in a doorless, windowless cab deep in the forest where the Bell Witch and the Boojum live lol

It's heartbreaking to see the damage left from the storm. While I'm glad we were able to visit the prior weekend, it is so hard to see all of the damage and suffering left behind from only a few days later.

I'm really digging the music and the Halloween lights and decorations all around. Whoever was in charge of those things did a great job! 25:44 Live-E was a disaster! Shoulda reserved the dancers and the best entertainment for the Tweetie Bird Palace. Whatever was in there was kinda bizarre and get some good queue line entertainment. 👌

I was supposed to be going in 2 weeks but thanks to the hurricane they had to temporarily close the park for cleanup and repairs I have never been for Ghost Train before and I bought the tickets a few weeks ago and now it seems like I bought them for nothing!

This will be one thing that will be happening with the deviation that was from Helene and hurricane Milton..For the many states that have been destroyed from the hurricanes power out for millions I think Halloween is going to be the furthest thing .
