Not sure if you play SWGemu, but if you could try it out or if there is a way to use it with this emulator that would be great...as of now it doesn't work. I'm assuming the developers have blocked Cheat Engine from working with this emulator.

You have the very best tutorial on use of the CheatEngine on KZbin, period. Everything you've presented works for me, and I think I'm beginning to understand it a little. Thus far I've only used it for The Forest. I can get cheats for all items I've tried, although only for the current game. I'm working on getting closer to the final locations for some of the items, such as 'infinite logs', and 'infinite flare guns'. With those cheats I think I can survive a little longer in the game. Thanks for being a great teacher.

Glad you enjoy! I have to redo the series at some point, or the first handful of videos at least. I know so much more than I did when I first started the series. I was basically just doing videos right after I got the hang of something in particular, so there ended up being quite few times where I didn't understand why something was the way it was. Thank you for clear and concise directions and easy to follow instructions. I'm a casual gamer like many others trying to enjoy my gaming more than the Dev's would like. So my question is... is there a cheat engine for Jailbroken or non JB device that is as complete as 6.4. If not (I've tried to find one) can I plug my device into my PC and attach a game from my device to CE 6.4 and change values through USB? It seems like it could be easily done however I am really a PC user and not much else. I have another question regarding 8 Ball Pool. Yes I know everyone wants a quick and easy cash grab but I'm really good and don't need extra cash/coin. Want I have been really wanting to hack is the chat comments. 8BP doesn't allow players to insert typed comments. I would love to have about 20 better than creative comments to harass comfort or condescend any personality on the game. Anyway, that's what I'm curious about. I look forward to your response. There is a app called gamegem which you could you use but there is a much better application on android which is called lucky patcher which is much more like the cheat engine which we all know and love Some other apps are localiapstore (which allows you to get inapp purchases free) and flex 3 but i don't like that app

So I have a question, I am attempting to run CE on Linux, (an Ubuntu fork), & am using Wine Windows Program Loader. The problem I am running into is that when I attempt to select a process to open, I get the "Access Violation" error & the process I want to run, (in this case Borderlands 2), is not listed, making the script I want to run non executable. How do I work around this?

I'm running into a problem with the addresses I find, the ones I do find that are values that change and I see that even though they change when something in the game does, the value; when edited, doesn't seem to apply. The game simply ignores the change, and without a doubt I believe I have the right one, any ideas on why this is?

Hi Stephen, nice tutorial you have there. I have a question. When i try to hack the gate keys in Yugi-Oh Duel Links i found about 700 million result in my first scan (unknown initial value, all value types). But when i spent the key to decrease the value, and then do a scan again (using decreased value) the result become 0. I also found that everytime i hit 'Next Scan' after the first 'unknown initial value' scan the result is always 0. Can you tell me what happened?

It seems like you did something wrong honestly, even if you did something wrong you should get at LEAST a value out of that many Also, is that an online game? online games can't be hacked because all values are stored by the server and you can't access that with Cheat engine, cheat engine only works with proceses on your PC

Hi NANCOK, thanks for your reply. I have already know what's wrong. The reason is none of the checkbox in 'all type' scan setting is ticked. I already ticked those and it works fine now. And yeah, Duel Links is an online game, so it is quite difficult to cheat, but not impossible. Someone has already created a working cheat table. I want to figure out how he create that.

No rush, and no need for slapping. =) Yes, you can do just about everything (not everything, but quite a lot) with CE that you can use a typical debugger for. Depending on how much you know of what you're asking, you might need something like x64dbg to open a process with so you can trace from the moment the application starts, but maybe not!

Thanks for the response. Basically what I'm trying to do is capture values for things like editing properties of moves in a game to create custom balance patches and difficulties. I figure if cheat engine can find accessed RAM on the fly that it might be able to be used to find what HEX values from the executable that wrote out to RAM and then I could do something like write a wrapper script to patch the EXE HEX values to whatever I want them to be.

Yes, CE has the capability to do what you're looking to do, but it may or may not be more difficult than utilizing x64dbg, dnSpy (if your target is .NET-based), or a tool like API Monitor (if you're familiar with identifying and watching functions). CE does have a wealth of tools, though, so depending on how much you get through a bunch of my videos, you should get an accurate view of the landscape of CE's capabilities. =)

Hello mr chapman. i'm currently trying to hack "abandon ship" and only able to find some money food moral etc. when it comes to ship health or canon reload times its impossible to find!! i'm searching all values, finally there are some values but it is not working when i freeze them. Why? how can i find it? plus the values are too much unlike some integers!

Keep in mind that even if a value seems to be a simple number, it may be stored as a string or some other way For example, in Resident Evil 4 health is stored as "how much HP you've lost" so at full health the value says 0, but even if you change that value the health bar just freaks out because that value only controls what the bar shows, but isn't your actual health, your actual health is stored in a different value somwhere Frozen values cahnge because there's some code still changing it, most games use a value for, let's say, money shown in the HUD, and a different value for your actual money

Hey Stephen. I love your videos. I have gotten pretty good using cheat engine. But there is still one thing that is eluding me. I cant seem to be able to increase my money in Ghost recon Breakpoint. Ive tried all the different bit sizes. Ive tried using float.. I can always find the value, but cant get it to change successfully. Any tips? Thanks in advance.

This doesn't work with SWGemu; I tried it with giving myself extra credits in the game. What happens is when you give yourself the extra credits, the credits show virtually but the credits aren't really there, it's like ghost credits lol. If I had real credits of 500, and gave myself 1,000 through Cheat Engine, my bank will now show 1,500. When I go to use the extra 1,000 it doesn't work. I get a message saying "You lack the credits to purchase this item", my bank will then default back to the original 500 credits, or it will continue to show 1,500 but I really don't have the extra 1,000.

Real money? are talking about an online game? Cheat engine doesn't work with those, unless you want to break in into their servers (wich not even the best hackers out there can nowadays) there's no way to hack that
