I am on console, and you are either getting teamed against or going against top 100 preds there is no in between anymore. When you have to play for 3 or 4 hours just to get 1 good game then it's time to move on to something else.

People will say “skill issue”. I tested the game for several days and i literally get 1 good team every 2 hrs. So if i play 4hrs a day i have fun only a fraction of that time, thats terrible. For me the game went downhill after s 17 when they cranked mm through the roof. Now we have to play like we are in algs just to get a single win. Yeah Im back to battlefront 2 and older battlefield games which are actually enjoyable the majority of the time

As a software engineer, I'd like to put my 2 cents here. This is just an opinion - roughly half my friends work, or USED TO work at game dev studios (some at big AAA names), so I have some insight on what's going on in that industry (from a dev's perspective), but I know nobody who's working for Respawn. I just hear what's the word in other studios. And what's happening is this: As everyone knows, these past few years, many people in IT have been laid off. As a matter of fact, it has become a popular thing to fire those pesky, overpaid, lazy dudes! By that I mean that stakeholders like it. They hand out bonuses for if - Elon Musk did it at Twitter, so it MUST be a good thing, right? Now, the reason I've never worked in the game industry and probably never will is because I work for money. I'm very good in my trade, but for me, software development is a trade, and being good in it is the way I can make more money. It's my main motivator. Game devs are different. Almost every game dev I know is passionate about their jobs. They work long hours for subpar pay, but usually they're very happy about MAKING GAMES. And the thing with passion and enthusiasm is that it's very easy to quench the flames - for example, by laying off members of the team. The team working at Respawn was already doing an admirable job at keeping the game functional, seeing that they've already lost many old devs who made Titanfall - game engines ARE A MESS usually, and if you fire, let's say, 5-10% of a team which was already stretched thin (and the game is actually doing VERY WELL financially so there shouldn't be a financial reason to fire people from that team), you'll crush morale. It's pretty cr.ppy, working at a place after a wave of layoffs, even if you were spared - not only is your workload now larger, but suddenly John who new how XY used to work is not there anymore, NATURALLY, the only documentation was written on the backside of a pizza box 3 years ago, even if you tried, you couldn't hit the deadlines... and you never know when will the next a-hole fly to your office in their fancy private jet to tell you and your remaining mates that you're, like, way too lazy and expensive to keep around so start packing. And they'll get a bonus for "cutting costs". So people will start getting by with the bare minimum of effort in their job - half of them will be busy trying to find a new gig somewhere else, half of them will be just depressed and low on morale. It may not be immediately noticeable for upper management, but the output of the team will be very low. This is way more evident with online games where content tends to change rapidly, as things'll fall apart way faster if nobody cares (and games in general require constant maintenance to stay functional, due to generally having a very low code quality - mostly it's just patches upon patches). So I very much doubt that Respawn will do anything about the cheaters in the immediate future.

That makes sense, and is what a good portion of people have been saying for years: that EA/higher ups are largely responsible for the mishandling of such a large (profitable) game. I've noticed that the quality of updates the past 2-3 seasons has been degrading. Not that apex was never buggy, but holy fs there are so many new bugs without any of the ones introduced 3 seasons ago being addressed. I wonder how much technical debt and spaghetti code they have. That all said, I think Respawn generally has anti consumer policies. Running a large online game and having no interaction with their player base is incredibly odd. When the whole servers go down for a day they don't post any updates, when the ALGS hacks happened we got a halfbaked bare minimum PR statement, when network admins criticized their servers they put out a near gaslighting level article. I'm sure they have to have policies for some reason that might make sense, but that doesn't mean they are good policies. I think the only thing that will "save" apex from a technical standpoint is for another online battle royal to come out that rivals their movement system. They need the competition to really start bleeding numbers to the point that execs take action. Lets be real though, the execs are more likely to can the project after they take their undeserved cash grab and run it into the ground in the process. Apex/Respawn like 3 years ago were like "we could have this game going for decades". You could tell they were passionate and had good intentions and plans, but then it became a large revenue source and has been mishandled. Couple that with the hacking epidemic, that all game devs are dealing with to some extent.

The game is in the toilet. SBMM doesn’t work and neither does ranked. Was in Bronze 2, played with two teammates that had mics and were decent. After game asked me to join. Turns out they were plat so we couldn’t play together. Then why was I in their lobby or even matched with them? Would rather wait extra and play with similar skill and/or ranked players than wait less and keep ending up in BS lobbies

Sucks don't it? The best way to combat cheaters using AimBot is to get up close with shotguns. AimBot can be enabled be ADS. It doesn't have to be, but a lot of guys set their AimBot to be enabled only when they ADS, so if you get up close where you can force a hip fire, then it's one for one. The problem is getting up close before they rinse your face off.

Kan_Kan, and Aimbot_Kids_, are two Apex Pred cheaters I have played with ON MY TEAM in the last couple of days. I play on X Box. The main problem with Respawn is how lazy they are about stopping cheaters and maintaining their servers overall. I play on the Asian servers, and by that I of course mean the Japanese servers because you can't play on ANY of the other Asian servers anymore, well you can play TRIOS ONLY on Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan servers but only if you want to wait fifteen minutes to maybe get a game, get two bots as your teammates and then die to premade bot farmer squads.

I played ranked died to a 2 stack cheater in silver one was master and then they died to another cheaters from 2 different squads. we need to put ea on blast to fix this. they are also in pubs now.

Cheating on PC, teaming and 3 stack preds on console. Combine that with SBMM and Apex is just not fun to play the majority of the time. I haven't even touched it since Xdefiant dropped. So refreshing to play a game without SBMM. If EA/Respawn doesn't fix this shyt Apex is slowly but surely gonna die off.

If they would put you in lobbies of your skill and not everything in one then I guess less cheaters would exist. For example, the ranked mode right now is so hard (with the penalty etc.), that casuals CANT go any higher than gold or plat (even without cheaters), bc legit ex dias and masters run over them completly... and every game. I even get shit on in Bronze (ex dia). The game just doesnt feel rewarding at all, when you cant hit any high ranks (plat-low diamond) without having no Life. right now diamond is basically predator because of the low player count in diamond+. or the fact, that u get those diamond/pred lobbies up from platinum2 instead of diamond4. means u get gatekept by preds from even getting in diamond... you should reach diamond and THEN be gatekept to climb higher. Ppl would be happy with their diamond rank and go play pubs. Like this I can understand casuals who cheat to actually be able to have fun in their most favorite game for once. It's a vicious circle and I dont think the cheaters are the real problem here. I mean if I had to pick up the game again and after work i would have to choose between "doing 5 games with 2 kills in general and get shit on in low ranks by 50k kills" or cheat in high lobbies (highrank fullfillment) to shit on the "pros" (shit-on-others-for-fun fullfillment) who are actually just loosers in life who would be dependent on social assistance without their game and do nothing productive with their live -> boom, cheat on those idiots xD But hey lets stick to single player and coop... Bye :D

today was my last match. I"M FED UP . tired of getting lazered and prefired. I get shot from people who cant even see me .000000000001 sec i move from cover. no human being has reflexes like that. Everyone using soft aimbot wallhacks and autoshoot. I'm done no more FPS online game for me. just gonna go back to single player games I dont remember in the last 6 months my last legit match

I have this itch in my gutt that they COMPLETELY turned off the Anti-Cheat during Split 1 because of all the false bans until they figure it out which unleashed hell in return. I legit have not seen a single live ban all Split 1 - not in my games, not in videos or streams. And just yesterday after the Split 2 update i saw someone finally get banned during MgClutch stream so that is a good sign i guess? Hope everything goes well from now on.

Apex fell off a long time ago. I never liked crossplay but thats not even my issue. My issue is getting in games with preds in pubs every game. Bro, i never even touched diamond before. Why on earth would a pred be in pubs. I might understand ranked SBMM being that way but Pubs? Naw. I lost my love for this game early on when they ruined Lifelines faster healing ability.

Dont worry, apex players.. They're only doing what they did in season 17 but differently.. give us your rat spots so we did, and now they're all no play zones now.. season 21; here level 20s, show us your cheats. So they do.. soon they wont be playing anymore.. go to the ingame pause menu go to squads click where you report a player.. they now have chat reports which means devs record your convos now

It sucks because I like this game and I’d like to be able to play it without this kind of stuff happening. Cheaters have branched out into Mixtape, which was the only part of Apex I still played. Guess I’ll go outside or something.

I’ve been saying it for awhile now, fps games while be dead unless devs starting using AI to detect cheaters. How hard is it to check dumb aim bots like this with an AI scanning for insane accuracy vs the normal player base. Too easy…..but EA making millions of skins…..

Installed that trash game because I saw some streamer play solo mode. Played a few games. Solo mode turned into "quad mode" which gives you 4 times mmore cancer than trios. Kthnxbye apecx.

This is why the first 2 seasons were the best. Will probably never play this game again, the integrity of it is broken. Worst part is, I noticed this many, many seasons ago. Maybe I was just unlucky.
