Welcome to my NEW $1000 RUST TOURNAMENT - Rust Island! In this series I'll be organising 4 teams of players to compete for victory over my Rust Island! 4 teams enter, but only 1 team will leave! They earn points for completing objectives like raiding, bradley and helicopter, and the winners of this match will move onto the final and be in with a chance of WINNING $1000!
What is Rust? Rust is an INTENSE PVP multiplayer survival game that I've played for THOUSANDS of hours. Wait so H8US didn't receive the prize? I guess that's a big reason why competitive rust events arent usually a thing, with the amount of cheaters in the game currently. Once it becomes as widespread as it has been, if you aren't using cheats and everyone else is, you're only setting yourself up to lose. I hope facepunch finds a way to address cheating better.

I truly feel the award should go to 2nd place, those boys played there hearts out and gave excellent content, having another event in a sense feels like your robbing them, because H8US were cheating and Alone STILL nearly won the event despite the cheaters. They had an excellent initial raid plan and very nearly worked.

H8us Matu here, I'm glad I got to participate in this event. It was a lot of fun and we had a good time. :) It's a shame we got disqualified, would've loved to play in the finals. We were all pretty pissed abt it since we know we're all legit, but it's all good. Most of us took it as a compliment anyway:D I would just like to point out that the event was very favored towards Alone. Before the event started we had talked to one of the admins and he had told us that merge raiding is not allowed in the event. We were pretty suprised when we found out that we were getting merged but we just went along with it. After the raid, we were talking to Max about why we were told that merge raiding isn't allowed but the other teams were allowed to merge us. He denied there being a rule against merge raiding but whatever. (could've just been a mistake by the admin) Now the second part where Alone "fought and raided" their way into Rots base to break their TC 10 minutes before the event ends. Alone and Rot were friendly towards each other most of the event and when the merge raid towards us was unsuccessful Rot told Alone that they'll let Alone into their TC for them to break it. We're also sure of it because we got to Rots base first and they didn't shoot us since they thought we were Alone. I feel it's really unfair for a big-money tournament like this to give unfair advantages to certain teams just because Max needs more content. I hope they host the tournaments more fairly in the future. Thank you again and GGs to the other teams.

TBH man all I'll say is if you read the rules you'd know merge raiding is allowed. Sorry an admin told you otherwise, but I spent a long time writing those rules for a reason. We're re-doing this bracket because I agree Rot just let Alone take the W on their base, and it's not fair to just let Alone through to the final. I don't know where you get this idea that I make it unfair just to make more content though, and everything is designed with fairness in mind. Appreciate your kind words though and I'm glad you enjoyed the event

In the video, you just assumed Alive went deep and raided Rots TC, but you could've seen in the chat they were talking about giving them the TC. Even one of your admins mentioned they weren't sure if Alone was let into the base. I'm pretty sure the admins knew about it since they probably wouldn't have chat muted. Seems like content farming to me, because you didn't even bother to check when it's clearly against the rules to let the other team farm kills off of you and let them break the TC. In my eyes, Alone were the cheaters in the event and nothing was done about it. We're also not cheating but there's no point to talk abt it anymore. :D

with cash tournaments like this you are really doing your part of making rust more attractive. all the orga behind a project like this must be crazy including the programming bit. with all that effort in, it sucks to see how cheaters can ruin an event like this. as rust devs are not able to get rid of them, my only critique is that you should put more mods up to watch players and look for sus activities and hopefully prevent them before its too late. nevertheless i hope many more people get inspired by you, to run their own unique events and make Rust more than just an open world surivival game. Keep up the grind and the good work dude

There's about 8 reasons why and fishy has an associated banned account which he denied was his until after we found it. It's hard to be absolutely sure I agree, and I spoke to H8us for over 2 hours and for another few weeks in DM's. I asked for all fishys old steam accounts because the account he played on had 500 hours, and they refused to give them to me so I have no other conclusion other than they're hiding something. Maybe I'm wrong, in anycase we're far more careful with the teams we select now.

I feel so bad for the other 3 teams…Love watching this type of events and it makes me sad that even here we can’t have the decency not to toggle. Crazy, but now I understand why there is a “event moderator” behind every person monitor when you watch a big eSport event on SC2 when money is on the line. This is one of the reasons I don’t like to play pvp server or rust anymore, because there is always someone ESP your base, checking every trap/door controller/loot/TC location and raid you on the absolute cheapest route even if it does not make sense. Or occasionally get an online by a 4 man as a solo and one of them toggle the aimbot as soon as things does not go as plan. 😊 Thanks for the great content, I really like the setup, but I think the custom cargo event with the turrets and the code was a cool idea in one of the previous events. I would do more like that…as you said its fun to watch when people with 5k+ hours get out of their comfort zone and have to adapt and use their brain. Like the super serum - can’t believe the guy took it to oil then “accidentally” use it. :D Someone with that buff should be running around with 3 bodyguards from min1 acting as mules getting the loot back as he farms. xD Anyway cant wait for the next one

in my opinion from the 3 remaining teams alone shouldnt get the win, id rather remake it. keep in mind that if you introduce a different team there would have been different outcomes. Rot lost vs Alone early, but Bamb got wrecked by H8US and they were in close 3rd behind Alone. Rot wouldnt have won either way, but i think it would have been a good match between Alone and Bamb. If you want to be fair you have to redo it, but if i were on Alones team and then loose the 2nd match i would feel cheated out of a win. tbh hard decision to make and you cant make it right for everyone. even if you ask the community and take the majority vote. so i think the right thing to do is trust your gut and we should shut up and support the decision. i mean in the end its your money that you give away to the winner, so after the finale you should be able to say "i made the right call" with a straight face. you have to live with it.

As a previous rust cheater (about 3k hours using scripts and cheats) the way h8us were pre looking/firing and doing some very sketchy almost no recoil shots it’s my professional opinion they were indeed cheating/scripting at least 2 of them (yes I’ve cheated I’m clean now about 20k hours in total including EAC/VAC accounts)
