I’ve watched several versions of this genre of CDrama. For me it’s the way the woman’s family will look down on being a housewife and treat it like it’s worth nothing. However, once she leaves, it seems they don’t know how to function w/o the services she provided.

Great retribution drama. Perhaps the most painful scene for me was when the husband & mistress berated the FL to no end, in the public forum that was meant to honir her, then viciously forced her to her knees. Every bad actor in this drama got their just deserts. Couldn't have written it any better myself!!!

The house is own by the husband. That evil lady is the legal wife, so she can sell the property. Everything is own by husband and wife equally if they are legally married.

@@myso-o9c Is this actually Chinese law though? You can sell the house without permission simply because you're the spouse of the person who owns the house? That doesn't seem logical or wise. In my country if both names are on the deed then both signatures are needed to sell, but if one person's name is on the deed only that person can sell the house.
