They dont go to jail, until they do something illegal to conceal it, like murder their spouse or f buddy especially if one gets pregnant. Adultery has been the key cause of many murders over centuries. That is why it was illegal in the first place.

@@rosemaryhazen5260 This law has been around for hundreds of years in many communities because adultery destroys families and lives. Research about it and ask anyone in law enforcement why. 25-50% of homicides are traced to an intimate partner, and women are most vulnerable when they are pregnant because of adultery, he cheats on her wants her gone, he cheats gives her STD, he does not want to support the baby and his friend w benefits.

Many find partnership, financial benefits, or rent breaks. It can prevent assets of one from going to an undesirable. The majority of marriages in the Western World have been for business or convenience reasons and both men and women had lovers.

@mikemondano3624 agree with the first half of that statement disagree with the second. Convenience and business reasons are mostly acquired by women as men are still the providers or at least seen as such. Men do no get conveniences and provisions from a marriage instead they part with it during a marriage and risk losing half of it in a divorce. It's not surprising as to why many men opt out of getting entangled in a marriage. While men do cheat as well. Not saying they don't, the purpose of getting married is different from the motives that women have. And in case you're wondering what that purpose is, it's the opportunity to further the bloodline and leave behind their legacy. Which considering how rampart cheating is these days and how vehemently women object to mandatory DNA testing bills isn't even a certainty.

In the Bible under the Mosaic Law, adultery was punishable by death. (Deuteronomy 22:22) While executing spouses for adultery may be extreme in today's society, spouses who commit adultery should still be held accountable by the law. The fact that most laws against adultery have been abolished shows the moral decay of society especially in the western world. Laws against adultery should be reinstated so that spouses would be discouraged from marital infidelity. When people are not held accountable for their bad behavior, they will continue to do it. Adultery is not only a sin against the innocent spouse but also against God.

Nothing is silly or outdated about adultery, it is the major reason for both divorce and murder. Also, to consider the other spouse contracts an STD or HIV especially if its the pregnant wife. Marriage is a vow you make to your partner that neither of you will cheat and for good reasons. There are still other states where adultery is illegal, adultery tears families apart. This governor spent taxes on this instead of feeding and housing veterans and families, consider another candidate when she runs again, another Kamala Harris.

This is why we need Jesus Christ to come back. This world is only going to get worse. The Antichrist, the mark of the beast, the tribulation, repent and believe in the LORD Jesus Christ. Surely the arm of the LORD isnt too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your GOD, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear. 1 Peter 1:9 The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.

There are a lot of laws still on the books in many states that haven't been enforced in decades because they are from a different time so this is just stupid that it's even acknowledged because no one is going to jail for cheating on their spouse in decades in any state. All laws that are outdated like this one can be taken off the 'books' without fanfare and hoopla! There are laws where you can't park your horse and buggy by the hydrant too, should be acknowledge that one or how bout the one about parking your alligator! here is a quick search with some of the stupid laws that still exsist! Here are some examples of outdated laws that are still on the books in the United States: Texas: It's illegal to buy or sell an eye from a living person. This law is intended to prevent the exploitation of body parts for financial gain. Minnesota: It's illegal to chase a greased pig. This law was put in place because it was once common to oil up a pig and have contests to see who could catch it. Wisconsin: Cheese and butter must have a pleasing flavor and be free of undesirable odors. Iowa: It's a crime to sell margarine and label it as butter. Arkansas: It's illegal to mispronounce the state's name. Connecticut: A pickle can't be sold unless it bounces. Indiana: Black cats must wear bells around their necks on Friday the 13th. Maryland: It's illegal to swear while driving. Los Angeles: It's illegal for a man to beat his wife with a strap wider than 2 inches without her consent. Atlanta: It's illegal to tie a giraffe to a pole. Acworth: All citizens must own a rake. Gainesville: Chicken must be eaten with your hands.
