Thanks for the feedback Rob. We are trying to keep it simple for now but will eventually progress to more complex and advanced tasks.

Driving seals and fittings o rings seals and back up rings when there are no new available and they aren’t trashed beyond a little tlc would be a good one for me Personally I deal with lots of o ring back of rings and radial seals

Thanks. That tip reminded me of my Dad when he drove road trains up and down Australia and how he used to regularly check the trailer bolts.

Thanks for your feedback Dalamar, my father also checked bolts on his D8 and D9 back in the 70's when I was 7 or 8 years old - nice memories

Nice work Mr. Inspector

Thanks Loai, this is only a part of a longer inspection that we carried out on this excavator. these quick checks should be performed by the tech during his/her visit to the site. The complete inspection should only take 15-20 minutes and prevent unexpected breakdowns. Thanks your for your feedback.

Same a wheel tapper on a train you are listening for the ring Same when you do a MOT a truck checking the bolts on the springs

I’m a heavy vehicle mechanic from the uk, we have to ping all the bolts on a truck every 6 weeks. Most people use a 4oz hammer, is there any reason you use a heavier hammer?
