That's a very cool camera system. Yup, it's a bit pricey, but it looks great. I think maybe using it in conjunction with a travel trailer would be awesome! Nice job brother!

This camera won't do things that a infrared sensitive camera (i.e., a real night vision camera) will do like magnify the view of people and animals where there's zero light, easily peer through fog and smoke, and automatically mute hyper bright headlights on two lane highways. And, finally, this camera won't issue AI incorporated, advanced audible warnings of dangers up ahead, unlike real driver based infrared sensitive camera will like the NV2 camera by InfiRay.

of course if you are comparing it to a real infrared camera and in that case, price will be much higher!

@@ChasingAdventuresCO The price of the NV2 camera by InfiRay has gone down to $599 on Amazon and though that's higher than this camera I don't think it's much higher, especially when you break down the cost over its expected useable lifetime (10 years).

The quality is amazing in the front camera, just wondering…have you found a solution to making the resolution better for the stock back up camera? A after market replacement?

Great review. For me it sounds super for the night despite the 1080 resolution, its not your using it as a rifle scope. It would be really fantastic if someone made a wrap that fit the entire windshield or a large part of the drivers field of vision - does anyone have anything like this and if yes I want to work them! Thanks again.

I am really interested in using this to see behind me as a rearview mirror. Is there any reason why I can't mount the front camera on the rear window to see with that super night vision. How long is that cord for the front camera?

rear camera is also included in this kit. so you could use it as a rearview mirror too.

Im not into having a big screen, so i dont think this is what i'll get. I watched your installation of a cam a couple yrs ago. After all this time is are either of these still your recommendations? Does your other cam still pick up decent resolution at night? Im not too sure what features to look at. I know someone commented that the other cam only got 1 or 2 min loops. is this based on the card memory size?

I've tried 4 dash cams including this and a 5th one for our new vehicle and I would recommend Vanture dash cam.
