Hi Ned, Just watching this video. Zoe will go right thru the spindles on the terrace. You may already be aware of this but it jumped out to me the moment I saw them as you went up the stairs. So you are going to want to put a solid liner along the entire terrace so she doesn’t go overboard. Having raised 8 kids things like this jump out to me. Best of luck in the new digs!!!

Powerwash the walls but they will still look stained. You might notice that many high end properties in Europe have the same type of look but there they call it "patina" and it's highly valued for its natural look.

Love the house Ned. I love the layout of the house. I know you will enjoy it. Your daughter will also enjoy the house outside to play with you. Kids cannot get enough grass to play on. She will have this in her memory as her first real house since she is at that age. I was suppose to be there this year and I would have loved to have had the pink house. Not meant to be. Trying to get there the past 4 yrs but something always stopped me. I am happy for you and your family. A good size home and lot to have. Enjoy your new home.

Congrats on new house, here in Cebu I have 3 bedroom bungalow fully furnished like 4 Aircon’s, Smart TV 55”, washing machine and almost all new furniture for 15k or 300$ as well we are also about 5 minutes to the beach here in Lapu Lapu. I always thought it be much cheaper for unfurnished house in Dumagete especially now during pandemic?

I like the lot size plenty of space. A power washing would do wonders for outside walls. Also the kitchen might be one of the best you have shown....you did very good. Congrats.

An electric outlet 2 inches above the bathroom sink is not very safe unless it is protected by GFCI but I doubt it because most houses in the Philippines don't have earthing, no earth GFCI, RCD's don't work. It can be deadly.

That is a really nice house and rental only 15k I had rental in Guadalupe Cebu 30k very small only good thing was we had security guards In the private community

Hi Ned, congrats on the new house, it looks like a good place for Zoey to grow up in. As for her walking on he toes, I have a niece that does the same thing. The reason for my niece is a problem with her tendons (I believe). She can have surgery to correct the problem but her father wants to wait until she is old enough to decide for herself. Take care of yourself and your family. Keep all of you safe and healthy plus I hope that all of you have fun.

Wow, that is so great, wonderful and excellent house. Congratulations on the new property. Now me living in North Carolina there is something that I know Philippines and North Carolina have in common. That is snakes. Do the Philippines have snake repellant or something to prevent them from coming on the property. Here, we do but, I always have a habit of going outside and looking on the ground immediately left and right just in case of surprises. Really happy for your whole family blessings, GOD speed. Nice place for an excellent rental price. Not noisey and it will probably remain that way because you are near expensive houses. I bought a lot in 2013 and had a house built in 2016 in northern Cebu. Beautiful overlooking view of the Camotes Sea from on a hillside. There were simple houses nearby and it was quieter back then. Since 2013 many of the simple houses have hooked up to electricity. 3 or 4 of the houses just blast their music full volume 3 to 5 hours a day. Nothing can be done because all of the folks are related to each other and will not complain on a relative. We are outsiders and have more to lose if we complain to the barangay captain. At least they do not steal anything from us. But if we were to get in a conflict with the folks near us I fear my dogs would be poisened. It happened to one foreigner about half a kilometer down the road.
