Check strap / door limiter change on Renault LAGUNA III

Cracinkg door sound is a common problem with many Renault cars. Renault Laguna 3 is no exception. The annoying sound comes when a plastic part of the check strap, or door limiter wears out. In this video, we show you step-by-step how to change the door check strap/door limiter on a Renault Laguna 3 from 2013. You can do it on your own at home. Nice help, i will change mine probably soon, as i just bought a Renault Laguna 3 from 2012 and it does the clicking noise when opening the rider door. All other doors are good. Also i have a clicking noise when hitting a bump i hear it from inside as its coming from the little speaker in the front left side. Any idea??

I used to have the cracking noise, but somehow I managed to lubricate it and the sound is not an issue anymore. However, the doors themselves seem to be a bit loose and do not necessarily hold in place when I open them (for example, if I'm not carefull enough, they might close by themselves instead of staying open). Would changing the door limiter solve this? Are there any differences in the process when changing it on the back doors? Also, can you please provide the codes for both the front doors and back doors? Thanks a lot!

@ Luis We believe installing a new part (or repairing an existing one) would solve this problem. Round plastic parts are probably thinner from use and now lubricated as you said which results with this issue you have described. Proces is pretty similar for the back door as well. Genuine Renault part number for the front door is 804301448R, and for the rear door 824310001R. Good luck!

@sven Shaft Pozdrav. Ovaj moj auto star je 7 godina, a kod mene je 4 i pol godine i zadovoljan sam s njim, redovito ga servisiram ( izmjena ulja, filtera, diskova i pločica ) i do sada nisam imao niti jedan kvar. Ima 1,5 dci motor i više od 200000 km i još uvijek vozi dobro, ovjes je u super stanju iako tu još ništa nije mjenjano, cestu drži dobro i siguran je u zavojima i na večim brzinama. Ako si gledao naša videa vidio si da ovi graničnici u vratima znaju kvrckati, isto tako pojave se vibracije na kokpitu i plastika na određenim dijelovima u autu nije baš najkvalitetnija i zna proizvoditi glupe zvukove, ali u mom slučaju to nije nešto što bi me odbilo od kupovine auta. Važnije su mi vozne osobine i sigurnost od takvih sitnijih nedostataka. Što se tiče 2.0 dci motora nisam imao takvoga, ali sam ih vozio nekoliko sa tim motorom i svidjelo mi se što imaju precizniji i finiji mjenjač nego ovi sa 1,5 dci motorom. Eto, moja iskustva su za sada dobra sa ovim autom i nadam se da sam barem malo pomogao. Ako te još nešto zanima slobodno pitaj i sretno sa kupovinom.

When changing tire which jack should I use for Laguna III? The height of the car was 13-14 cm....

Use the one you've got in your car. If you don't have that one anymore, use any jack which is strong enough and can lift the car high enough.

While you wild bois were in there, did you see any bitumen based dambening mats on the outer door skin? My Laguna III is a very noisy one and im about to put dampening mats every where! Thanks for showing how to get door panels off :)

I have the same noise at the drivers side door. I will change the door limiter. But also there is a crack formed up on the car side of the door limiter. Is this common? How can i solve it

Proslu sedmicu promjenio na vozacevim vratima.....😂😂😂 Otkrio sam kako napraviti tj popraviti limiter.....plasticni tockic pojeden....samo drugi staviti....tj naci odgovarajucu plastiku,izrezati i staviti....problem rijesen.💪💪💪💪💪takodje popravio obe brave za zakljucavanje.....motorice podmazao i sve.💪💪💪💪😂😂😂😂😂
