Yeah, I went after one of their engineers about it and got nowhere. GFM

Maybe they've fixed the issue in the intervening years because I just checked two different K-type probes in a crushed ice bath on my Fluke 179 - one read 0.1ºC, the other -0.1ºC, but in ten minutes it had settled to 0.0ºC. Thanks for the tip about the crushed ice instead of cubed, GFM.
