How to check the status of your Gruha Jyothi application?

From 03AUG2024, I have been getting a subsidised bill.
The status on the portal still shows as "sent to BESCOM" though

Hello there sir. Thanks for the amazing video. However i had applied the previous year and it has become 8 mobths or so and still haven't got any revised bill. Please do let me know what i can do. I haven't got over 200 units this entire year except for 1 month.

First check on your bill if it shows details about when you joined the GruhaJyothi scheme If it does not show the scheme details, go check with your electricity office If it shows the details, that means you are registered for the scheme To get a zero bill your monthly unit should be less than 200 and also your average monthly consumption in the last year (2022 to 2023) should also be less than 200 units If either one of them is more than 200 then you won't get a zero bill

2months back applied and Status is showing like below and when it will success:-your application for gruha jyothi scheme is received and sent to escom for processing

That is the final status. It will jot be changing any more If you are eligible, you will start getting a subsidised bill in the next cycle after submission.

I got one month subsidized bill and next month again without sbcidy.. Why is like that?

Based on your prior usage, you would have a certain eligible number of electric units. (as an example lets say it is 180 units) If your month's electricity consumption is more than 200 units, you don't get any subsidy and you pay the entire amount. If your month's electricity consumption is lets say 190 units. This is less than 200 units and more than your eligible units (180 units in our case) then you would need to pay for the difference in units. So you pay for 10 units. Lastly if your monthly unit consumption is less than or equal to your eligible units then you pay nothing.

Hi,can you please tell how long does it take to give the subsidy and reflect a revised bill? I applied Marrch 7 and got my bill today,its huge. By when can I expect a revised rate? any idea please.

Generally you should get it by the next cycle However there are multiple conditions that would need to be fulfilled to be eligible for the subsidy Your last year's monthly average should be less than 200 units And your current month's utilisation should also be less than 200 units

@@TheMuser units consumed differs monthly,so it's fine if the past year's annual was 200 units and this year's it fluctuates a bit monthly?

The bill will mention both the last year's average consumption and this month's consumption. If even one of them goes beyond 200 units, you will have to pay the full bill for that month. Next month again the same check will happen.

@@aninditapradhan9677 Not really a sanctioned load only means that you can use more appliances at a time Units depend on actual usage of appliances. You can have a higher sanctioned load but if you don't use your appliances your units would be low. Hey! I applied and the status shows "Your application for GruhaJyothi Scheme is received and sent to ESCOM for processing". Its been like this for over a month now - How long does it typically take to get approved? Or if it is rejected where can I check for the correct status of my application. Do let me know, thanks.

I had applied on 19JUN2023. On 03JUL2023, I got a normal bill and my first subsidized bill came on 03AUG2023. The status on the website does not change. Even today i see the same status that you are seeing.

I registered on the 2nd day itself and it's still processing ...any idea how long this will take...or do yk anyone whose application was successful ?

same here It still shows as processing I guess we'll know once we get the July bill (in August)

@@PJ-km7xs it still says it’s processing but my bill came out to be 8 Rs/- (Tax) …consumption was < 200 …so it doesn’t matter as long as you’ve applied and consumed < 200 …it’ll reflect on the overall bill
