I really liked your comment about spring shackle location of a longitudinal spring. I'm always learning something new about one of the Model A Ford, one of the simplest cars ever produced, but with many quirks, Haha!

Very interesting video. I owned a 1924 Model T touring car when I was young (60 years ago) but never learned much about the Model A, so this is all great to see.

After watching your video I see my checking of my frame is on the right track. Mine is square but has to much sag that I will; have to take out. i have a question thou I have to reinstall rivets in the front and rear cross members as they had them bolted. I see the top rivets on the front cross member are bucked flat. Are any of the other rivets bucked like that or are the others round headed both sides? I am just at that point and am not sure wehat they look like on the sides and bottom of the front cross member and any of the rear cross member. Any help on that woulkd be appreciated. bucking flat tails is always way easier than bucking rounded heads both sides. P.S. Love the video it could not come at a better time.

I’ll defer to better experts but both frames I have have round heads on the other crossmembers IIRC. Only the front crossmembers are flat.

@@dhodgson8210 Yep. only the 3 on the top on each side of the front crossmember are flat on top. the rest are round on both sides.
