In today's vlog we head to the Marriott World Center in Orlando for a little staycation! Thank you to the Marriott World Center for hosting us. We check in, tour our rooms, check out the food locations around the resort and do some general exploring after dinner. Yeah we love there!!! Stayed during conventions and it’s always a blast! That rock work you mentioned in the back is a hot tub with wheelchair access. Very diverse options and certainly a good time if you want somewhere nice, clean and comfortable to stay during a Disney stay. Always a fun time. I’m glad they gave you an opportunity to view the place!

Lol guess I’m the only Aussie in these comments cause it’s like 5am on a Sunday here! Love how Tim was only interested in the ginger beer cause of the pull tab seal! That’s actually an Australian drink brand brewed up in Bundaberg East in sunny Queensland 😃 That lid is their signature. They are also the makers of Bundaberg rum and they make other awesome soft drink flavours like sarsaparilla, old fashioned lemonade (fizzy and cloudy which apparently isn’t common in the US? Also called pub squash here in Aus), guava, peach, mango, burgundee (which is like portello, another old fashioned Aus red grape cream soda soft drink), lemon lime and bitters, coconut and pineapple, grapefruit, and my fave is the spiced ginger beer generally available during Christmas.

@@sprockett7798 Hey! 👋 Hi Perth! Generally I get mine from Coles or Woolworths around Xmas but I've also been able to find it at Dan Murphy's online, Bundaberg sometimes releases a limited amount of boxes of the spiced ginger beer mid year. It's that popular!

Hi from America, my husband lived in Australia for a couple years, which is where he was introduced to ginger beer. On our first date we went to a drive in and he brought a whole pack, my mind was blown. Needless to say, when we find them here we get multiple packs;)

We stayed here on a Disney trip when I was 10. We had so much fun at the resort we decided to skip a park day to spend a full day exploring and at the water park!

Nice of the Marriott to have you out. What a spacious, clean-looking room, with nice of great charging opportunities, love the REAL fridge, and a great view, and is even more beautiful at night! !! I'm the opposite of you, Tim - not a fan of bar soap, especially the teeny-tiny ones most places give you. That Executive King Suite is AWESOME - so spacious, nicely decorated, nice touches, and again - so clean-looking! Nice to have so many dining options right on site!! That convention space is humungous!! Spectaculr views of all the fireworks, and the laser show - wow!! Socially distanced hugs to the 3 of you from New Jersey. Stay strong, stay positive, stay healthy!

Bundaberg Ginger Beer is made in Bundaberg, Queensland Australia and its the best ginger beer you can get. They also have other soft drinks(soda, pop) like Guava, Mango, Tropical, Lemon, Sarsparilla and plenty others.

I had a reservation there for 2 nights. But I cancelled due to the parking fee and resort fee adding over $100 a night. I changed my reservation to Marriott Lakeshore’s Reserve. Free parking and no resort fee. I got the same rate per night. Also, they have a lazy river and much quieter.

The rock structure in the pool area used to be the slide into the pool! It was the only slide they had way back in 2009! My family stayed there. Fun fact, I got Starbucks for the first time at that Starbucks in the lobby. I was a sucker ever since!

What a cool resort! That conference area is no joke. Reminded me of Vegas and their hotel conference areas. Honestly it’s too bad Julia was introduced/moved in to Sesame Street in 2015, I definitely would have massively benefited from seeing a character with autism on screen in the early-mid 2000s. I’m glad she’s able to teach kids with and without autism about what having autism was like. I have autism too and I really needed someone/something to teach me about it back then since I was basically flying by the seat of my pants when it came to finding triggers and knowing how to and what calms me down in a healthy way. I can’t really enjoy Sesame Street now that I’m almost 25, but seeing younger generations get the experience and knowledge of how to deal with things that I didn’t get to experience watching makes me happy.

I used to work there back in the 90s...going to be interesting to see what has changed...which will be a lot! Back in the days, our lighting dept was talking about doing something about more of a permanent lighting show....after viewing this, wow lots of changes! Back then there was no parking garage, convention space still the same...but where lobby is and restaurants have all changed!!

What a cool place! That first side reminded me of the old school playground slide my elementary school had, but with water--and the talk of a Japanese steakhouse is making me want hibachi! I’ve been going there for over 30 years. My family owns a timeshare there. The rock work by the pool is the original slide that was taken out. Where the tv’s are used to be a grotto hot tub area. There was a lot of rock work around the pool. The area where the astroturf and lawn games is used to be a big koi pond that went under the bridge to the pool and over towards the japanese restaurant. Where the grab and go food place is used to be a huge arcade and pizza place

Lol yeah its a funny way of opening a bottle but Bundaberg ginger beer is Australian and that's their iconic signature on all of their brewed soft drinks 😁 They have like 10 other flavours like sarsparilla, lemonade, peach, mango, grapefruit, pineapple coconut etc.

I have stayed here twice back in the 90's. I worked for Marriott in Canada and we got discounted room rates. $29US a night, made a 2 week Disney trip affordable. The first time we stayed just 4 nights for a quick Disney trip getaway.

We have stayed at this hotel more times than I can count, been staying there for 20 years now. Love it but I always have to request a room on a lower floor. I'm afraid of heights and refuse to get on the glass elevator. There are time shares attached to the back of the hotel and you have the same access to the hotel if your staying in them. We always get one of the three bedroom condos. It's great. Love it , it's a bit quieter there but I little bit of a walk to the big pool. But they have smaller pools back there also.

6:20 is not the Casting building. That’s actually Team Disney, Lake Buena Vista (I used to work there). Fun fact, in the center of that building is a giant sundial. The actual Casting Building is between the Grapefruit Garage across from Disney Springs and the Partners! Federal Credit Union building right near where Buena Vista Drive turns off onto Hotel Plaza Blvd. My aunt and uncle spent part of their honeymoon at the World Center Marriott back in good ‘ole 1985! We drove up from Hollywood to have a pool day there while they were staying there… also checked out River Country the next day (was only time I went to that Disney water park before it closed). I recently quit working for Disney (March 30, 2022 was my last day). Now I work with an amazing company and one of the guys there gives off the “Tim vibe”. He even has the Tim mustache and beard from the past. People always are asking him if he knows who “the Tim Tracker” is and if he’s related to you. It’s a lot of fun being at work… I really have found my dream job!

Used to stay at sabal palms when I was little, went every year and got to use the pool at this hotel. That rock structure used to have a slide that went through it, looks like they tore the slide out. So many memories in that pool!
