Checking oil pressure on Ford Escape 3.0

*Take the belt off before unbolting the AC compressor.

The 3.0 doesn't develop an awful lot of pressure at idle when hot. Just the nature of the beast. The oil sending switches are well known to throw on the red oil pressure light.

This is literally the same problem I’m having. Power steering pump leaked on the the sending unit now it’s giving me a light 😭

It's crazy how Ford made such routine fixes so much more complicated

How did you get the top bolt of the AC compressor out?

Its a little difficult but just try to fit a wobbly socket on it
