The Loutre Cafe is an otter cafe located in Osaka and is one of the cutest animal cafes and something you can do if you're in Osaka (or Kyoto).
The Otters are well taken care of and you can spend a great 30 minutes with them. We didn't actually book and just rocked up, bought the booking slot in person and then chilled before coming back (so you can do it spontaneously if you'd like).

Glad I can help! Some of the cafes you definitely need to book ahead. If you plan to visit Tokyo, the pig cafes all need booking ahead of time.
