I’m looking to move to Adelaide this year, what are the cops like? Are they strict on modified cars? Are there tight anti hoon laws like QLD?

I couldn’t tell you as I’ve never been in any trouble myself and my car isn’t defectable. However, from what I’ve heard from mates it can really depend on the officer. Coil-overs for example need to be engineered or you’ll get defected if found with them. There are certainly tight laws in place around speeding, reckless driving, modifications, etc. As long as you’re safe on the road I doubt you’ll have any issues!

If I ever win some stupid amount of money, I'm heading over there for a visit...I want to ride in a proper Skyline R34 at least once before I die. (I'd find some way to buy one myself, but I don't think I could handle shifting a manual transmission with my non-dominant hand.)

They’re sick! Pretty sure they’re becoming legal this year or next year in the US? Or perhaps they already are - I can’t remember the exact law

@@JamieTenikoff For trade protectionist reasons, we can't import cars from outside the US until 25 years after they were built. (I think it's only 15 years in Canada, so they've been getting R34s for a while.) I believe the R34 models came out in '99, which means they're legal for import to the US next year...which also means they're about to get *stupid* expensive.
