Max Changmin is one of the best vocalists in kpop

In the world. I can compare him to Dimash

Changmin/Max has been nicknamed Bambi by his fans and he has taken it on as a sort of spirit animal that represents him, so I think the deer in his "Devil" MV is supposed to symbolize him. If you read the lyrics, the song is about having self doubts and bad thoughts and harboring those feelings within your heart. So in the end the deer (himself) becomes like the Devil because he has now embraced those feelings. During U-Know's and his reaction video to the "Devil" MV, Changmin said the forest you see him in is a real forest and they had to take a boat to get there. They used drones with lights on them to light the area to give it that spooky effect. If you want to see how this MV was filmed, check out his behind the scenes filming video, kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYiohK1nhpyjmpI. And although "Devil" is a remake of a song by Alex Runo, Changmin wrote his own lyrics for the song and gave it a different storyline than the original version. "Devil" is the title track off his second solo mini album Devil, which was released in 2022. His "Fever" stage video was a pre-release from the album that was part of SM's New Year's Eve SMTown SMCU Express livestream concert. If you haven't yet, check out his "Maniac" promotional video, which was also a song on this album. Notice how SM used "Devil" to draw Changmin/TVXQ into its SM Culture Universe with the reference to Kwanyga in the lyrics and the pink planet you see in the MV, etc. I guess as Rising Gods of the East, it makes sense that TVXQ could be otherworldly-beings just like the rest of SM's groups and artists, in order to connect their storyline to the rest of SM's Universe story. (Everything SM does has to do with Kwangya -- even SM's new building where everything is created and produced is called Kwangya. Kwangya is the metaverse that all of SM's groups' and artists' concepts, and most of their MV storylines revolve around.) As you heard, Changmin is known for his powerful high notes and growl (even more powerful than Onew or Jonghyun from SHINee or Chen and Baekhyun from EXO -- all SM powerhouse vocalists), he literally has one of the widest note ranges of almost any Kpop artist. In a high note battle he always wins. It wouldn't be a TVXQ/Changmin song if we didn't get to hear at least one unbelievable high note from him. TVXQ's fandom is Cassiopeia and their fan color is red -- which is why you see one of the primary colors in most of TVXQ's MVs is red -- and when you attend a TVXQ concert you will see an ocean of red. Welcome to the Cassiopeia fandom. If you like TVXQ then you are a Cassi. TVXQ truly are all-time legends in the music industry. As an SM Entertainment group, it is no surprise that the members of TVXQ are outstanding vocalists. Being some of the best dancers and vocalists in the industry is what we have come to expect from all of SM's artists and groups. That's just a fact about the type of people SM selects to be a part of its company. TVXQ (English and Chinese)/DBSK (Korean)/ Tohoshinki (Japanese), which each are the abbreviations/acronyms of the words in each language that translates to mean "Rising Gods of the East," debuted in 2003 (Second generation) as a 5 member group. But, in 2010 three of their members left SM Entertainment and the group and formed a new group called JYJ. However, Max/Changmin and U-Know/Yunho continued as TVXQ as a duo. They've been a duo for longer then they ever were a 5 member group. Changmin (the youngest member) was 15 and U-Know was 17 years old when they debuted, so even though they are one of the senior Kpop groups, Changmin is currently only 36 and U-know is 38. TVXQ is SM's most senior group that is still active. TVXQ have always had a more sexy and mature concept, but unless you real delve in deep and get to know their Japanese songs in particular, a lot of new fans have no idea how sexy they can really be. Fun fact: Changmin got married in 2020 right before his solo debut "Chocolate" MV was released, so his songs and MVs are much more "adult". And he became a father to a boy in 2022. They are men, not boys. :D Tohoshinki (TVXQ) are one of the most famous singers in Japan as well, even among Japanese artists. And like SHINee and BoA, they are so popular in Japan that they are considered part of the mainstream music scene. TVXQ has one of the biggest worldwide fan bases and they sell out some of the largest concert venues in the world. They are one of SM Entertainment's top selling groups, easily selling out concert tours around the world.

What you just experienced with Max/Changmin's (from TVXQ), Taeyeon's (from Girls' Generation) and Winter's (from aespa) "Priority" live performances is what makes SMTown concerts so special. SMTown concerts are on a whole other level because you get to see all of SM's groups and artists all at one concert. Normally each group or artist will perform 2 or 3 of their most iconic or newest songs, etc. and then we also get unique collaboration performances with members from different groups like you just saw. You can hear even more great collaborations if you listen to the "2022 Winter SMTown: SMCU Palace" album, which this is a B-side track on. SMTown collaboration performances are often performances that you will never see anywhere else, so it makes for an extra fun element to these concerts. SMTown concerts are usually held every year and they are often part of a tour, so they are held at several different places around the world, giving fans a chance to see SM artists traveling together. Changmin is the main vocalist and youngest member of the group/duo TVXQ, who debuted in 2003 at 15 years old. The day after Christmas this year will be TVXQ's 21th anniversary. As you may know, Taeyeon is the leader and main vocalist of Girls' Generation, who debuted in 2007 -- this year is their 17th anniversary. She is considered one of the best female vocalists in Korea and is one of the most popular female solo artists as well. Winter is a lead vocalist, lead dancer and the visual of aespa. She is one of Yoo YoungJin's most prized students because of her impressive vocal style and abilities. (Yoo YoungJin was also EXO D.O.'s vocal coach. D.O. and Winter were nicknamed Yoo YoungJin's son and daughter because they were so much alike.) Yoo YoungJin -- who was an SM singer, songwriter and main producer, who was one of the first few artists signed under SM way back in the early '90s -- is one of the reasons why SM is known as a vocal powerhouse company, because he has been a vocal coach for a lot of SM's artists and he has produced or collaborated on a large majority of SM's songs.

Thank you for reacting to, in my opinion, the best vocalist in Kpop. Shim Changmin and TVXQ are the undisputed legends, and they are unfortunately not talked much about with young kpop fans anymore. Which is such a disappointment. Highly recommend you check out more TVXQ - especially Spellbound, Something, Chance of Love, and Down
