Helen, GA is a lot of low-key fun. You & Brennan would have a great time! I was driving through from Atlanta to Kentucky & decided to detour through there. Did a little gem mining before I got to Helen & then spent the night. Had lunch on the patio of the Troll Bridge Restaurant (I think was the name of it) & watched the tubers float by. Explored the shops & had a steak at Cowboys & Angels restaurant. Lots of fun & beautiful views. We've also done lots of gem mining in Franklin, NC which I think is an hour or so north of Helen.

Storm was rough. I had to fly back to Tampa for work. My dad flew from Maine to to Boston for a fam birthday for two nights. Tried to leave Sun am as sched. Took him 3days longer than booked to get back bouncing between Baltimore and New York

We got incredibly lucky. Brennan was giving me updates with the storm in Florida as we were enjoying sunny days at the pool and hiking, and then we just happen to drive along the side of it as we make our way back down to Georgia. There was a little turbulence on the flight, but it was otherwise totally fine.
