Hi Anna and Tyler! First of all, you both are so much fun to watch! Second, when you finally make it out to Universal Hollywood, I really recommend the VIP tour. It’s pretty neat to be able to walk on some “cold sets” and get your feet down in the backlot areas. Don’t know how/if things have changed since Covid, but I do recommend the VIP tour for Universal pros like you two.

Just booked 5 nights at Portofino with 3 Park, park to park tickets, (they were same price as 2 Park because if the promo) and airfare. I thought it was a pretty good deal. Thank you! So we called Universal with this very question a few weeks ago and when you are using flex pay, you have to pick it up at guest services! Hope this helps.

Surfside and Dockside both have resort only refillable cups. They are for those locations only.

It’s possible. They always have a few of the trucks up and going before the event, but most of the time it’s not good that’s exclusive to the event itself. We would say probably not but they could always surprise us! Let us know your experience please!

Sorry I missed the live chat 😞....I have a couple of questions if you happen to check comments after the fact... it's been 10 year since I have been to Universal so going to make a push to go next January also planning on getting the annual passes so we can make a few trips, anyway do you think we will need express passes in January/ February? Deciding on hotels and if I should get a budget hotel or the premier hotels, we have potentially impatient kids. I also hear that the unofficial Harry Potter cos play is January 29, I would love to see that!

If you are going midweek I'd say nope! Over a weekend still *probably* not but might be a nice splurge. You can always split your stay too! Stay at the premiums on thw weekend and then shift to endless summer. The other nice perk is the boat rides and no wait at the security queue.

As far as if you need them, we never think they are a necessity, but they can always make a trip easier to plan. However, during that time of year it’s generally really slow, we are about to be there today ourselves and we will have some videos so you can check out whether or not you think they would be necessary. The only time that’s busy in January is typically the first week!

I did the Mears shuttle the first time and lyft the second time and I highly recommend a lyft! Faster and honestly cheaper.

We prefer using a ride share like Uber or Lyft as well! We recommend having both apps downloaded and ready to go, that way you can compare prices. Sometimes they’re vastly different! And like Kris said, they get there really fast! Most of the time they’re just circling waiting for people to book rides.

If you are in a on-site resort there is a guest services in the lobby (go to this first, you can use the discount at check-in desk, don't forget to book the resort stay as a UOAP HOLDER or I believe you will NOT get the discount. ) , off site go to the park's guest services. P2 please correct me if I am mistaken about the discount booking :)

You have to book the hotel as a UOAP holder and then they check your status before you checkout so you have it correct! Thank you for responding!

Also at the ticket counter in a on-site resort you can pickup any UO ticket, passes, and airplane tickets if your vacation is booked through Universal. They are your goto helpers to any services available in Universal and reprints of lost tickets/UOAPs , I believe the UOAP card replacement has a minimal charge though for processing and card stock, putting a stop on passes already issued. There is no refund on tickets logged as used for the date issued though. UOAPs are nonrefundable after first use. A reprint is still possible, everything is registered to a single person, proof of ID required.
