Tip for the cast iron corn bread pan put it in the oven, get it hot, add a bit of bacon grease, then you corn bread mix and bake

Tina the secret to corn muffins with a crispy bottom is to oil or butter your cast iron them place it in the oven and get it good and hot , then you pour your batter in the hot pan and bake it.

I’ve seen those cornbread pans on FaceBook Marketplace, but I think I counted 7 ‘ears’ & I think yours has 4, which is great for you & Rob…love watching you both in the kitchen…enjoy

So glad you had a great trip, wonderful you shared it! I was lucky enough to see it 40 yrs ago, so good to see again! It's hard to come home and get out of vacation mode, glad you relaxed and barbequed!! The cast iron cornbread pan is so nice!! You need 2 or 3 for your family!! The trip looked like fun. I'd suggest putting baskets in the camper spaces to hold more and especially in the hanging area. The beans and cornbread looked good. I made the sticks' for 4h 😅

Heat the corn pan in the oven till it smokes. Put you meal in the very hot pan put in oven . Start checking at 15 to 20 minutes after you put in oven 😊😊

To be honest, I make it from the box, the brand I like is called Jiffy cornbread mix. It’s really good.

Famous Dave’s makes great cornbread. Comes in a box or Quaker corn meal has a good recipe on the back of box.
