Don't feel bad missing gears with the original toploader shifter and linkage. You should definitely consider getting a hurst competition plus shifter and linkage for your car. People have ruined their four speeds with the factory shifter.

ok, I luved *every* vehicle, cars and trucks, in this vid!! so awesome. was that a nailhead in the '40 (or '39?)? I have a '69 f250 with the 300 i6, but a 4 speed of course...won't rev, but it will pull stumps with ease...really like what your buddy did with the shortbox. and as a Mach 1 owner, luved seeing the '69 in progress. and your coupe too of course...really turning out nice. but gotta say that the Galaxie is boss and will make everyone stop and stare once done...'63 and '64 Galaxies are truly historic and just epic. thx man for encouraging the younger guys in appreciating the older stuff.

I watched your buddies vid where he drove your car. There is an adjustment on a manual steering box. On top there should be an adjusting screw with a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut and tighten adjusting screw till tight then back off a quarter turn then tighten locking nut. Unless steering box is plain old worn out, this should take out some of the slop in your steering!

I used to have problems with over heating. I put in a 3 row aluminum radiator from champion and I didn’t have any over heating issues last summer👍🏼
