Hi Ben, This is your biggest French fan here. I’ve commented on this channel a few times already. I had a 95 Mustang GTS (stripped down GT) about 14 years ago when I lived in Puerto and had to sell it. 67 Fastbacks have been my all time dream cars. But I don’t necessarily have that kind of money. I kept watching your videos religiously as your Mustang represents what I could and would like to do with mine. And this week I bought the cheapest (and probably roughest) 67 Coupe 289 2 barrel available in France. The body is quite sound. Engine is strong. Paint and interior are rough. No options whatsoever. Plain Jane 2 barrel. But it is manual (3speed). It’s important as you can’t swap from 6 to 8 or from auto to manual here in FR. All in all, I wanted to thank you for your inspiration and also wanted to encourage you to keep going with your build. Take care!

Are you running 2 fuel filters or just the one between the pump and carb?

Well done. I've owned a 67 Mustang since 1977, which doesn't need the Shelby drop, and it comes with a dual master cylinder. Your other changes are certainly valid for my car as well. However, there are a few additional changes you can make with any early Mustang, that are fairly simple. 1) Replace the points with an electronic ignition module such as Pertonix, and keep the points assy in the car, just in case. 2) Replace the mechanical voltage regulator with an electronic one. 3) Halogen headlights. 4) A few holes need to be drilled, but shoulder harness's are really needed on these cars. 5) Export brace. Cheap, simple, and worthwhile. 6) A larger front sway bar, and to really improve the handling, add a rear bar.

Rewatching this, did you have to add a return line to the filler when you did the EFI?.

Two coups 67/68 one with the venyl roof top and one without, to to me the black roof just gives it a nice two tone look, i even prefer it over the convertible.

Had one of those plastic lines break loose on my interior many yrs ago it was only a few yrs old. "Hot Rod Horror" is on Tubi (free), neat flick by gearheads for gearheads shot here in Ca. Bit of a B "cheesy" factor but its more to like .Check out the st rods in it.

I did a sniper efi in my 65 200ci, the car has been running fantastic! Ran brand new fuel lines both send and return, but one thing i learned from your video is having the efi wires to close to the distributor causing rfi problems. Anyways my next upgrade will be the msd distributor and ignition system upgrading to a cd box

You’re an inspiration man! I have a 67 coupe with a 289. Covered to a 4 barrel intake and carb with new exhaust (but used stock headers sadly, should’ve bit the bullet then). Anyway, 250 to the wheels is AMAZING. What have you done to it engine wise? Sorry if you answered this a million times but more curious what was added to get it to 255 to the wheels.

I think all of us hot rodders have lost brakes. So I never build a car without a good e brake. Early Fords it's easy to add a Model A or later e brake to the side of the transmission next to the shifter just like Ford I intended. I was driving down the freeway in Seattle and ran into rush hour traffic. As I slowed down I realized I had no brakes. By down shifting and using the e brake I went on thru traffic to Fremont. Picked up the girl I was supposed to meet with. I don't remember what we were doing. My roadster was my everyday driver. But when I stopped to get brake fluid. She asked what I was doing. I told her the brakes were out. At first she didn't believe me. Of course when I pulled up the floor board to fill the master cylinder. She realized the brakes were really out. The moral of the story is. Things break and go wrong. So make sure you have a back up.
