Thanks for the video. Do you have any knowledge or experience in setting out tunnels?

Hi! Unfortunately not much about the tunnels, I hope you will find what you are looking for 👍👍

Hello Gregg hope you are doing well! I have 2 questions: 1) shear links are mostly used for punching shear right? They are like stirrups but holding the top steel? Or they are just addition steel bars put diagonally in slab around columns? 2) whats half-ends? If thats how its written (english is not my 1st language sorry) Also keep up the great work once im settled ill get you some coffee 😀
@SITENG2 жыл бұрын
Hi Abdo! 1.Shear links are for punching shear and they play critical role in the structure. A shear failure in this case is usually catastrophic. They should be set vertically around the column (if needed). 2. Halfen - it's a company name really, but like in many cases ppl on site call like that all the fixing channels, they are typically used as elevation fixings, or as masonry support channels e.g. ancon channels. Halfens are sometimes used in lift shafts.

Hi Greg, on the job I am on the edm screen shows a diffrent calibration level to the bubble level when I'm setting up. Do u know how to fix this? Which level should I follow in the meantime. I'm guessing the bubble?
@SITENG2 жыл бұрын
If the EDM is good 'digital' level should be the one, as the bubble might need adjusting (small bolts there). When your resection is done you have to still two face check it (Hz and V). You received it like that? could someone hit it? TBH in general you shouldn't work with and ask for replacement stating the problem. Hope it helps 😁
@bayernmunich17512 жыл бұрын
@@SITENG yep recieved it like this, the asbuilts are showing good accuracy though so it seems OK for now.

Great vid as always Gregg! Just did a pour there with 374 cast ins to soffit + 146 on slab edge. Of course they landed the mesh on the Saturday before I got a chance to mark 😢😷😴

Hi! I am trying to keep the videos not too long and that's the reason. This one with others will complete a slab series where I hope watching all you will find the info. Anyway I will try to make it more like you say and maybe just do more videos but explaining better. Thank you for advice👍👍
