As per the design, is it meant to be Reinforced with geogrid or just 6F5 backfilled and compacted in layers??
@SITENG8 күн бұрын
I can't remember that one, but sometimes geogrid is needed. In this case we had to layers to compact, but that also depends on the machinery operating later and the design accordingly.

@SITENG14 күн бұрын
you mean the rig? In most conditions, obviously the pile mat has to be constructed. Before foundation design there is ground condition testing anyway to make sure piled foundation are right - also based on the soil you will be designing the foundation too.

How do you bring up control lines on high risers what we do is put a lazer and drill up to show the lines
@SITENG8 күн бұрын
You need points on the slab to refer to going down - some box in the slab where you can set your EDM. In most cases there will be slipform, or a jump form and you should you use to set some targets for the orientation too

Same physics. Different law. For example at our construction side we don't use copper eartning. If the eartning will be inside the concret then we are using black steel or regular rebars, for sure it will not get rust

@SITENG19 күн бұрын

poor TBH, who set it? Can you get something better? Are you sure it will be actually ar. 5mm? As always depends what you’re doing and what accuracy and tolerances you work to, but I go with 3mm max and typically have height max 1mm. Maybe you cant shoot the targets correctly? Targets distribution is not the best?

Do you use the gradient the designer gives on the drawing. In my little experience I have noticed the gradient the designer gives is from centre to centre which seems like it won’t be right ? As your pipe doesn’t go through the manhole right to the centre. Your pipe will be placed about 100mm in your manhole
@SITENG23 күн бұрын
I check the gradients and make sure it works well with ILs, BTW checking the ILs as well if all works well. Centre to centre is ok 👌 manhole itself should a fall - so all line is laid to designed falls and meet in the centre

Hi Greg Just wanted to express how useful your videos have been explaining Leica total station software! I'm currently studying on a masters course in mine surveying and your videos have been incredible helpful! Far superior to Leica's own tutorials and guides. I go long periods using Trimble kit instead of Leica and your videos have been invaluable in quickly reminding myself how it all works when I switch back. Saved me more than a few time!
