Checking the gap on the new motorcraft platinum SP520 spark plugs

The Motorcraft SP520 platinum spark plugs are measured right out of the box brand new and the gap is determined. Check out the gap as they are right out of the box.
The gauge used can be found at any Autozone right on the counter for a few dollars.

What would gap be for Iridium, bought NGK LTR5IX-11 4344, at or under .054"?

Anything from .049 to .054 is considered acceptable.

ok, i see a lot of videos saying pre-gaped, i bought these ngk from advance auto and they are gaped at .040 (roughly) so they DO need adjusted ... right? Why are these manufacturers and posters talking about plugs being pre-gaped, if in fact they need adjusted?

Side question, if you have a minute .. seeing how to apply dielectric grease, videos show people placing a small amount inside of the coils before replacing onto the spark plug. Wouldnt shoving it inside like that cover the plug when you slide it back on top, affecting the metal connection?

The MC plugs will be pre-gaped. As they are for the 3.5 and are set up for that. The other brands are set up for may other models of engines and thus will not be gaped correctly for the Ford 3.5.
