Watching this reminded me of both my grandfathers. One was from up north and loved to grow and pickle Jalapenos. The other was from the south and loved that savory corn bred. You have brought those two memories together in one single food item that makes me want to cook.

Use a honey cornbread mix and use buttermilk. If you do the sweet, spicy, & savory flavors all at once... thank me later . Oh yeah mix your melted butter with a little honey as well 💕

+realswhattheytellyou I cook my meals almost every day...and I've learned that baking power is always pretty flexible. you'll be safe using about a teaspoon full 90 percent of the time. If you're making a very small amount of something...say like a single portion cake (I do this in the microwave) then you'll just need half of that.
