Looks wonderful, and I appreciate the fact that someone sees cornbread as BREAD and not as a dessert item. Sweet cornbread = cake Cake = dessert.

Watching this reminded me of both my grandfathers. One was from up north and loved to grow and pickle Jalapenos. The other was from the south and loved that savory corn bred. You have brought those two memories together in one single food item that makes me want to cook.

1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup yellow cornmeal 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 cup whole milk 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 2 large eggs 1/3 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated 1 tablespoon minced green jalapeno, seeds and stem removed 1 tablespoon minced red jalapeno, seeds and stem removed 1 tablespoon honey 1 tablespoon butter This is per his Website

Thank you so much for this recipe...I've wanted to try cornbread but I've never been confident that I'm doing it the right way... This was so tasty & I tossed in a little leftover parma ham (proscuitto) which made it so good it was gone as soon as it hit the table

Use a honey cornbread mix and use buttermilk. If you do the sweet, spicy, & savory flavors all at once... thank me later . Oh yeah mix your melted butter with a little honey as well 💕

Some measurements are needed, but no need for ingredients such as salt. Just work your way through.

What if you use Jiffy Muffin Mix? And add smoked sausage or kielbasa and some creamed corn? What are you gonna do with that?. Any ideas on that? Lol.

+realswhattheytellyou I cook my meals almost every day...and I've learned that baking power is always pretty flexible. you'll be safe using about a teaspoon full 90 percent of the time. If you're making a very small amount of something...say like a single portion cake (I do this in the microwave) then you'll just need half of that.
